Hello everyone. I have started on this website because of a class, however I am excited to continue it after it is over. I am 25 and clearly overweight. I need to do something. I feel like I am out of control. Not that I eat all the time, but I was told last month that I have hypothyroidism, and because of that I have several of the symptoms that go along with that. One being tiredness and fatigue. So the ability to have the energy to get up and do something doesnt always work.
Anyways I was curious if anyone knew that if you have to get your "net" to 0. Im trying to understand how it works. Any help would be great.

I'm new to MFP. I downloaded the app because I want to loose a few pounds. I'm forunate that I only need to loose a few pounds however I've noticed that I've gain a few pounds in each of the last several years, and this can add up quick. I love this app! I'm so suprised how many different foods are in its library already. When setting up my profile I answered the questions honestly however I'm a nurse and my profile states the nurses are only lightly active. I also am training for a 5K and lifts weights and do crunches. Its probably not a big deal, I just want to loose a couple of pounds and tone up for swimsuit weather!
