Welcome to the second week of the valentine weight challenge!!
I'm glad to see you all doing well and trying hard!!
Only just over 4 weeks to go now until the big day, so we should all be a third of the way there!!

Good morning! I weighed in this morning and am excited to see myself making my way to my goal!
Started Jan. 2--174 pounds
Current Jan. 15--168 pounds
Goal Feb. 14--159 pounds
So, 6 pounds down, and 9 more to go! I can do it!!!!

Well week two now, and my scale has still not moved... Very frustrating. BUT !!! Did do my measurements this morning, and seem to be down three and a half inches. Ok, so I know muscle weighs more that fat, BUT does fat have more mass than muscle....????0

Well done on your weight loss!! Thats really excellent, and more than a third of the way!! :drinker:
Dawn, don't worry! Thats excellent that you have lost 3 and a half inches!! Muscle weighs more than fat but it is leaner!! For instance 2 people could be the same height and weight but one person could be a couple of sizes smaller just because they exercised and the other person didn't!!

I started the challenge on the 8th. I was 257 lbs. I am now 253 lbs. Yeah, I can definitely reach my goal of 150 lbs. by valentines day!

I am very happy considering I am still logging and exercising. I didn't eat great this week but I love the fact that I am accountable to the site and this challenge. The goal is still very reachable!0 -

I am somewhat disappointed over the fact that I haven't lost any weight this week. HOWEVER, my silver lining is that my stomach is quite abit flatter and less pudgy. The last couple of days I've had to look twice in the mirror there has been such a difference. Losing inches is always better than the number on the scale anyway.

Start 01/06/08---192 lbs
wk1 - 01/14/08---189 lbs (3 loss)
wk2 - 01/21/08---186 lbs (3 loss)
Ive met my initial goal of 1lb a week for 5 weeks till valentines
So im sticking to my pound a week challenge and if the gods are with me and the calories ha ha ill be another 3lbs lighter by then....

I had to fly to Palm Springs for 4 days to check on my parents. I always retain a little water flying but feel good about losing one pound while away. Esercise routine was a g]bit disrupted. Home now and looking forward to sweating a whole lot. Looking forward to next week's check in!:smokin:0 -

Sometimes the scale doesn't change, but if the inches are coming off that's GREAT!!

Was not feeling great on Sat. but did do a little walking just very low on calories. Feeling much better today and am ready to weigh myself on tuesday (my weigh in day). Hope to lose a lb. We are having mexican for dinner tonight with friends so I am going light all day so I can enjoy myself. I will ck in in the morning.

I have had a bad week of not keeping track of my calories on here very well, but I've really been focusing on eating dinner at home (a frequent challenge) and packing my lunch everyday. I'm working on writing my Master's thesis and a huge portion of it is due next weekend. Daily freak-outs and feelings of having no time are not helping me at all. In light of all that, I have fortunately not gained but sadly not lost.

Yes. There was a Christmas Challenge and now Valentine's Day. We made goals for ourselves around the beginning of the New Year (someone correct me if I am wrong on this...) After that I don't know. Maybe St. Patricks Day Challenge (to be immediately destroyed by all that green beer!)
