No running as of yet for me. I may take a rest day but not sure how the rest of the day is going to play out. My daughter has to run the mile for school so I may go to the track with her and a mile or two. Have a great run everyone. :flowerforyou:0

How do I become a member of the runner's club. I just started running again and I would love the motivation!0

Good morning everyone!
I am running 1 or 2 miles today then I'll be waiting for this weekend to run the seacoast 1/2 in N.H. Ate Olive garden food yesterday at a luncheon lecture at work. omg I felt awful!!! I want to go running for the next 3 days but I am supposed to be tapering. What a dilema.

Welcome to the club menjivas. All you have to do is post and your in. All questions, comments, inspirational stories and racing info is always welcome.0 -
No run for me today, I'm still keeping the miles low while I get back after my achilles injury! I did a cardio step workout today instead and 30 min weight circuit + abs.
Welcome to the club, Menjivas!

What are you training for? Don't you hate when you eat something and feel horrible? Maybe just do some walking instead of running? Enjoy the taper!

7 mile tempo run this morning.
Arlene, good luck on your 1/2 this weekend.
Menjivas, welcome to the group!0 -
Also did a 7-mile tempo run. It was weird, though. For the first time since I started "training", I was unable to achieve the time I'm supposed to. I was to run a mile warm-up, 5 miles @8:06, and another mile cool-down. I was only able to run one mile at that pace, but the other four were at a 8:20 pace. Maybe because I ran 8 miles later last night and my legs are still tired?? Who knows. I'm so competitive with myself that it really bothers me when I fail at something. Aw well!
Better luck next time, right?
Hi Arlene! Best of luck with your 1/2.

Hi guys! I just got home from the gym and it was GREAT! I did a workout I read in Men's Fitness. It was run at 7.0 for 10 minutes, then do a series of strength training, then run another 10, strength train, run 10, strength train... etc. So I ended up running a total of 40 minutes at 7.0 and did 3 sets of the strength series which was: bicep curl, pushups on BOSU, squats with weights on shoulders, lunges with foot on center of BOSU, overhead press.
I had a huge sweat going on!
BTW, I see a lot of you guys doing Px90... what is that?0 -

Posted this yesterday in the general area but thought that I'd say hi and I'm back to you all!
I just got an email from MFP! I have been on an extended break and they caught me! Wow I didn't know that they did that but I am glad! Hello everybody! Gained two pounds since I stopped loggin in. Guess they got me just as I was feeling unmotivated and discouraged. Got to press on! So anyone else stalled? You might get a call from MFP

PS Have my first 10K coming upon the 20th and am scheduled to run 7 miles Saturday. But my knee is sore so I may have to take it a bit easier!0 -

Hello everyone! I ended up swimming about 1,400 yards while my kiddos were at swimming lessons tonight. Felt great!! I could have just kept swimming!
Hope you all had a good one!
