A lot on MFP's have been asking me about my diet "cookies" so here is the recipe.:flowerforyou:
I lost 15lbs.
2 1/4 cups chex multi-bran cereal
1 cup rolled oat
3/4 cup non-fat powdered milk
1/4 cup unprocessed wheat bran
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 large ripe banana, mashed
4 tablespoons salted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
7 large egg whites
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions:Prep Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 27 mins
1 Preheat oven to 375° Fahrenheit.
2 Combine first 8 ingredients in large bowl, mix well with spoon.
3 Blend banana, butter, sugar, eggs, egg whites, and vanilla at medium speed with an electric mixer until well incorporated.
4 Add wet ingredients to dry, mix well and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
5 Divide in half, then half again.
6 Each portion makes 6 cookies. (I used an ice cream scoop to measure out the dough.).
7 Bake for 12 minutes on cookie sheet or parchment paper.
8 Cookies spread very little during baking, I use muffin tins.. Allow to cool slightly and transfer to wire rack.

YOu eat 6 cookies a day, however you want to have them and a "sensible" dinner.I typically had one with breakfast, lunch and dinner, a morning and afternoon snack and one I reserved for hunger meltdowns...They are awesome in chocolate almond milk! lol
I researched the food pyramid and saw that you need-
6 servings of whole grains - the cookies. You get no other carbs while you eat the cookies.
3 fruits - I would have a fruit and yogurt smoothie for breakfast
5 veggies - salad at lunch with salmon or beans and 2 veggies at dinner
2-3 meats, nuts or beans-
2-3 cheese, milk or dairy- one was yogurt in my smoothie, one could be low fat string cheese,or cream in your coffee,or maybe milk or cheese in a dinner recipe.
The "cookies" are intended to reprogram the way you eat and get you cravings for sweets and carbs under control. I used them for 3 months.0 -
