Can someone tell me where I can get a GPS type watch that will track miles? I don't want to spend $100. I'm looking more like $50 or less.

I already have a HRM so I just need something that will track miles.

Thanks!

I use an app from google called my tracks for android phones. It keeps track of your distance, speed, and elevation. I have htc evo, which is a big phone, that I keep in the case on my waistband. Great free app

I don't think that you can get a GPS watch for under $100. The least expensive ones I know of are around $140.

$50 gets you a running watch without a GPS

Garmin just announced a new model (610), so perhaps check Craigslist as people like me who LOVE shiny new GPS watches will be getting rid of our older models (but not for under $100)

I use runkeeper app on my iPhone. It's free and works really well.

no clue. I have used garmin forerunner watches for years. check amazon for a deal?
  • I paid $160 for my Garmin 305 and LOVE it, BUT I found a free app for my Blackberry (GreatTrainer) that matches my Garmin readings pretty well. It does suck the life out of my phone for 12+ mile runs though.

I should re-phrase the question. It doesn't have to have a GPS on it. I just want something basic that will track miles and speed.\

I will check Sport Authority or ****s maybe.

I have an app from android called cardio trainer... free and it works great - gps track of my run, syncs music, and also will voice over to tell me my speed, time, distance, etc...

I tried 3 apps on my droid and none of them were accurate enough in tracking distance. I ended up with a Garmin Fore runner 504 watch and it works awesome.

The Garmin 205 is popular around $100 to $125 via Amazon, etc.

You will need a GPS in a watch to track your distance and speed.

If you have a smart phone, there are free apps you can download so I would go that route first before buying a watch to save some $$.
