[Sorry, this challenge is now full! Please check back at the end of April for Round 2!]
Attention Ladies!
It's time for me to get my Jillian Michael's attitude and speak the truth. We did NOT have a good week last week! I didn't... most of us didn't. So, what are we going to do? I'll tell you! We are going to do BETTER! I'm committed and I hope that you are too :-)
You know what you need to eat. You know what you need to do. Now do it!
Week 5. Let's go!
Congratulations to my lovely Diamonds who lost this week. You guys rock! On Monday I hope to have a much longer list!
The WINNING Diamonds are:
Kathy (kkmark) lost 1.5 pounds! Go Kathy!
Lyndsey (baypathgrad) is down 0.8 pounds. We are proud of you Lyndsey!
Janice (jwill10) shed 1 pound. Great job Janice!
Remember: This is a marathon, not a sprint!
***Question of the Day***
Recently I started incorporating dance into my workouts. What a positive change!
Question: What exercises have you discovered lately?
Keep Shining Diamonds!

When I weighed I was up about 3 pounds or so. It is totally my fault though. I seem to have lost my motivation. I just need to get going again, although that is easier said than done.0

Congrats to all the LOSERS of last week! My partner was the BIGGEST LOSER! GO KATHY GO!
Well on Exercise TV (On Demand) the other day, I found Jillian Michaels Trouble Zone Workout! And once again, she pushes you hard. It's a really good workout.
COME ON DIAMONDS, LET'S GET BACK ON TRACK!0 -
Great job to those who lost! I was also down .5lbs. I should have done more. I am trying to work harder and stay focused this week. I will weigh in on Friday. Hopefully the hard work pays off.
Keep focused everyone. We need to push this out and make it routine to eat properly and exercise regular and not hae to even think about. Muscle memory!!0 -
Congrats to all the losers!!!
I only lost .4 last week, and then I had a weekend full of binging and gained!! Got back on track quick, and I'm only .6 away from my weigh-in last week with 3 days left to get back down there! I was hoping to reach the 170's this week, and I'm still hoping for it, though I would be happy with maintaining this week.
What exercise have I found??? BIKING!!! Bought myself a good bike a few weeks ago, and I'm riding to work on it as often as I can. I LOVE IT! The ride is wonderful, the weather has been beautiful, it only takes me 40 minutes each way, and I can listen to my music the whole time. There are times it's hard, like going uphill or against wind, but for the most part I don't even feel like I'm exercising and I burn around 750-800 calories per day just from my riding!!0 -
Congratulations to all the losers
Falicia thank you for being my buddy its team work
Go diamonds!!!
Cardioke by billy banks jr. its fun

Congratulations to all the losers!! I was happy to have no change monday morning - since I had gone out Saturday night and had thought I would have gained. But if all goes well, I am having an awesome week this week (knock on wood)...
As for exercise - I LOVE doing pilates. I started in February a few weeks before finding this site. Its my 20 minutes of me time each day(sometimes 40 minutes).....and it is something that does not aggravate my knee (I have arthritis). I can really notice how much stronger I have gotten since I started - even though there are still some that I have to do the modified version of....
Sarah - I can't wait until we get our bikes out this year! I agree - great exercise and so much fun!0 -
I definately was somewhat disappointed this week...not only is the weather crappy, but I weighed myself and gained 2 lbs...so Tuesday, I was in a blah mood, and went WAY over calories (like 700 over)-I had Goobers at the movies, and overate at dinner...just plain bad...I didn't feel very motivated that day, so there you go...
Hopefully I will be able to reverse the gain, and then some by next weigh in...can't promise anything...
This week, a co-worker lent me "Walk Away The Pounds" (Leslie Sansone)...I did the 3 mile "walk"...I thought it would be boring (the whole walking in place thing), but they mix it up with kicks, knee lifts, side steps, etc...and incorporate weights between the 2nd and 3rd mile...I was sweating pretty good by the end of it...so I definately will try that a few times...
I have also been dancing the past few weeks (Zumba) with my co-workers...we do 20-30 mins twice a week...so that has been good.
I definately need to get the whole scale 2 lb incident out of my head, turn that frown upside down, and move on...it's a work in progress...
I started reading through some of the success stories (as I do from time to time) to try and cheer me up...I shouldn't complain because I lost 5 lbs a few weeks ago...but still, it is somewhat devistating when you gain...even if it is a lb or two...
Good luck this week ladies!!!0 -
@Lyndsey - I can totally relate! Gaining back even one or two pounds can make you feel miserable, especially because it's so EASY to do compared to losing one or two pounds!
You have to remember that there are things that you do every day--brush your teeth, watch television, put gas in the car. You do them daily, but you aren't especially proud of yourself for doing them because they are so easy to do. Losing weight is hard, we all know it, but it's the DIFFICULTY that gives us our sense of pride. So, revel in the challenge... it's what makes it so worthwhile!
I love you Diamonds!

Hey Diamonds!
I hope you are all having a fabulous week! Stay strong this weekend, and remember "a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips".
Question of the Day:
Weekend weight loss can be tough. What will you do to enjoy the weekend without losing control of your fitness goals?
My Reply:
I am looking forward to a weekend in with the hubby. Lately we have been exercising together, which makes the chore more of a joy.0 -
Wow, week 5 already!!!! I can't beilieve how quickly it has gone by.
Weekends make it tough to stay on track thats for sure. Now that we have some nice weather my husband and I love to hike and I have been putting my son in the back pack carrier....he weighs 25lbs!!!!! And the trails near us are nice and hillyWe are hoping to find a bike trailer for him to go in so we can start biking again too. Any suggestions would be great. Have a good weekend ladies
