Subjectively, which seems harder to you?

I've been noticing that between elliptical, treadmill and rowing machine - perceptually speaking - the treadmill seems hardest, followed by the rowing machine, followed by the elliptical (and for me, easiest is racquetball) - for the same number of calories burned (and roughly the same durations)
I find that different elliptical machines seem perceptually harder than others - again, for the same calorie burn.
How about you?

I`d say the rower and elliptical are equal and the treadmill is super easy for me.0

for me the hardest is the elipitical. I've only recently started using it - I feel like I'm a bit too short for it and it's harder for me to maintain my balance, things like that. Also, my feet always start to fall asleep.
treadmill is definitely easiest. well, sit-down bike with chair type seat is easiest if I'm just going leisure, but if I want a workout and push myself I find it a bit harder.0 -
Personally hardest to easiest would be:
Treadmill
Rowing
Elip
R ball
Also depends on what I do in what order.0 -
@achoo - interesting - I find the bike to be hard. Maybe I find the elliptical easiest because I started the elliptical before the treadmill, and rower. Definitely find the treadmill hardest. 25 min max (250-300 cal),. while I can do an hour on the elliptical (600-750 cal)0

I hate the treadmill. I can only run for short bursts and then I have to walk so its not that great of a calorie burner
Elliptical is pretty easy for me, and I've never tried a rowing machine.0 -
@mamagooskie - 129 lbs lost?!?! Whoa! Nice work.0

The rowing machine seems hardest. The elliptical is almost like cross-country skiing, but proper form seems hardest to maintain on the rowing machine and sometimes it makes my back sore.
Besides, I'm extremely bad at rowing an actual boat!0 -
I love the elliptical and hate the treadmill. I feel like I can go longer & burn more calories on the elliptical & I hate running, which is why I don't like the treadmill. I've actually never tried a rowing machine though...0

Rowing is done wrong by 95% of the people at the gym. When done correctly, rowing is a killer!
If you just get on there and yank the handle around and slide back and forth, you aren't really rowing.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhGfdYlXqBI

I didn't know my form was correct until your video. Surprisingly, that way just feels right.0
