Question for the ladies! What's your favorite protein powder? Do you use it as a meal replacement or for workout fuel? Also, how many calories are your shakes on average?

I use Ideal Chocolate Milk Diet (in chocolate and vanilla) that I found through an ad on this site. Taken as is (just mixed into milk) is 200 calories using 1/2% milk. Chocolate has 1g fat/65g sodium/20g protein/4g carbs/10% calcium-vanilla has 0g fat/35g sodium/20g protein/4g carbs/10% calcium. As a smoothie, my base (powder, 1/4 c 1/2% milk, 1/4 c nonfat yogurt) is 155 calories before adding any fruit. I normally add 2 oz each of either blueberries/bananas or strawberries/bananas.
  • My favorite is Pure Protein. I usually put in 1 scoop powder + 2 C water + handful spinach + 1/2 banana or 1 C berries. It comes out to be about 150-180 calories.

Pure Protein is decent. I've tried chocolate and vanilla creme. Vanilla is easier to customize but the chocolate is pretty good with peanut butter. It's 23g of protein (chocolate is 25g I believe) and is about 130 cals, no added stuff, no fake sugars or anything. I also like Clif builder bars much better though. Only 20g protein though but way tastier!!!! Lately I've been liking the vanilla shake with pom blueberry juice and 2% milk. Super yummy.
  • I like using BOOST Protein. I find for me being extremely active all day and not eating enough, at night this is a quick thing to make and take. I usually have a glass before I go to bed at night. It tastes just like chocolate milk :)

I also like the pure protein but I only use the Vanilla. I LOVE it with a scoop of powder, 1 banana, 1 cup water and 2 ice cubes..
