Artificial Sweeteners? What's the real deal?

Ok, all this talk about artificial sweeteners actually causing us to GAIN weight? There's compelling evidence out there. But what about the so called "naturals" like stevia products, etc? Thoughts?

    from talking to my nutritionalist stevia is the best artificial sweetner you can get. Travia being the next best. I hope this helps. good luck. :)

    I use Stevia all the time. For my tea, for desserts etc. and I am loosing weight, so I don't know...... I heard though, that some sweeteners curb appetite. I personally can't use Splenda, it makes me so sick (bloated belly). I guess, different people digest differently.

    yeah, we've started just buying the stevia, or trivia blends. I've also cut back on how much I use. I used to put 2 packets on my bran flakes in the morning, now only use one. I don't really see much of a difference, so that's good :-) thanks for the comments!
