I am not new to the site, but haven't ever really reached out into the community of MFP which I think would really help me. Lately I just don't have that extra motivation or push I need to get on the treadmill or do situps/pushups. I think adding some friends and seeing everyone else's day-to-day would be really beneficial at this point.
I am in the Air Force, 27 (almost 28 oh my goodness) and have 2 daughters that are 3 and 4. Recently divorced, so doing the single parent thing and trying to find a balance in my life right now.
When I was in high school I weighed probably 230 lbs (I am 6 ft tall but that is still overwieght) I lost weight unhealthily then (starvation purging) and got down to 180 and joined the Air Force. At one point I was down to 165 which felt good, and then I got pregnant with my first daughter. Not even 4 months after having her, I found out I was pregnant again, so I didn't lose very much (if any) weight between pregnancies. I gained massive amounts the second time and got back up to almost 230 again. After having my second daughter, I slowly lost weight to meet AF regulations, but was still not where I wanted to be.
At the beginning of 2010, I deployed and started exercising more frequently. I got down to 170 which I was okay with, but wanted to keep going. I didn't eat very healthy even though I worked out a lot. The summer I returned, I gained back 10lbs (divorce, changing duty stations) and in January of this year, decided to get back to the grind, yet again.
So since then I have lost 10lbs. I was at 165 today and mostly just want to keep losing slowly and tone up. I seem to keep indulging in foods when I know I shouldn't and another thing I struggle with is really pushing myself while I am working out. I know I could run a little further or push out a few more situps.. but I just stop.
So that's my story in a nutshell.. Thanks for reading, hope to make some friends and get that extra push! Happy Losing : )
