Depends on the type of flavored water. Some have added sodium, so watch that but other than that, I believe that they are interchangable.

Agreed! I cannot stand flavored water, but I do the pink lemonade crystal light. Only 5 calories in a serving and it still counts as water =)

Most liquids are "flavored water." So what's the difference of say a Mio vs. Sugar Free Kool Aid or Hawaiian Punch or Crystal Light, Sugar Free Drinks like that. They all have 99.8% Water. I know for fluid count purposes in a hospital they count all liquid intake. My personal though is related to effect on one's internal organs (kidneys and liver.) When you add anything other than water those organs have to work to Filter it out (but that's what they are supposed to do.) Also, the effect some liquids have on the Body (Caffeine flushes/forces the fluids out having a dehydration effect.) So it may come down to hydration vs. dehydration and making sure that the additives placed in what you are drinking have no negative effect on your internal organs and Body.

There is this product called Mio, I know they have them at safeway and walmart and they are flavor that you add into your water (just two squirts) for 0 extra calories, 0 sodium and pretty much 0 everything. They are really great and if water is too boring for you, I'd suggest it.

*****Both flavored water and regular water should have the same effect though because the main ingredient is the same : water. They both hydrate you, one just has a little more flavor to try and coax people into drinking more of it.
