I just bought a new mini George Foreman grill... Does anyone know of any good recipes for that? I'm not a great cook and the only thing I can come up with is grilled chicken with italian seasonings, lol.

i love ham and cheese sandwiches put it on there until the outside is crisp and golden! :D YUMMMMM! as you can probably tell im a college student! haha :flowerforyou:
  • I cook almost everything on mine. Put your meat on one side and your sliced veggies on the other.
Asparagus is amazing. Just wash & trim it then lay it on the grill. The same with baby carrotts, brussel sprouts, sliced potatoes, etc. ENJOY!

I love my GF grill. I've got a family size one. Putting pork chops on it tonight. But I put my talapia on it, veggies, chicken. You can't go wrong. Making sandwhiches is a new idea for me since see a few ppl mention that. I'll have to try...my kids would love it.

I have a sandwich grill (has a flat griddle), on which I cook lamb pieces sprinkled with Greek seasonings. Take off after they are browned, make up souvlakis (flat bread, tzaziki and salad and cheese), put back on to crisp. The whole family loves them.

I use mine for meats and vegetables, but never for sandwiches, Grill cheese sounds nice.
But you put egg beaters on a george foreman? Please explain your procedure.
    Did I read that right?

    Thanks.

Ol' George has a great cookbook just for that; "The Lean Mean Fat-reducing Grilling Machine Cookbook"

The recipes are all made for the grilling machine, regardless of the size.

My Cuisinart griddle has a flat panel insert that I never use but it would make an omelet very well (lid open of course just like pancakes), I never though of that!

We have a bigger GF grill and like to make panini sandwiches on it. Put extra light olive oil on the outside of a ciabbata roll, some deli turkey or ham, avocado slices, spinach leaves, provolone cheese slice, or whatever you would like. Sometimes add small amount of precooked bacon, turkey deli slices, and avocado. :) Another type bread would probably be better calorie wise.

Sory about that, lol I cooked the eggs first on the stove and then made the wrap. I also forget to say that I put 2 oz of shredded chicken I boiled with taco seasoning.

We just use extra light olive oil on the outsides. Makes it nice and toasted with a great flavor. I suppose you could use the spray too.

I cook almost all types of meat on mine. Also use it when i make tortilla shell wraps. Hubbies ... tortilla shell, refried beans, chicken, cheese, salsa and sour cream. Mine ... tortilla shell, chicken, cheese, honey mustard dressing, and lettuce.

I also make sandwiches on my grill...turkey pastrami with a little bit of BBQ sauce and Cabot 75% fat free cheddar is a nice one. Pickles optional. =)

Also, grilled portobello mushroom caps are great-- marinate overnight in balsamic vineagar and a little bit of olive oil with fresh herbs-- rosemary is great-- and then grill 'em up. Top with goat cheese or eat in a bun.

the key to cooking meats on it is not to over cook because it will dry them out too much. Mine mostly gets used for bacon. I have in the past made up single burgers and froze them to thaw out to cook for myself. dont try to cook anything with bones in it.does make real good grilled cheese (as long as you dont mind it kinda squished, my hubby dont like his squished). just another reminder dont overcook or you wont enjoy your food as well. unless you like dried chicken.
