Just Dance 2!!!!
Zumba is best in person with an awesome teacher0 -
cant comment on zumba, but i love just dance 2, only the remote needed, and you can put as much or as little effort into it as you like0

I think zumba will be better. just be aware that the "energy bar" at the bottom that goes up as you move with the instructor doesn't actually follow you. it follows the movement of the controller. it's a great workout... don't get me wrong, but don't be upset if you only get to level 3 on the energy bar and you're soaked in sweat.0

Just Dance 2 is better option. The Wii Zumba isn't that great..I tried it and sold it off. Doing the real thing is much better. The Zumba game also got bad reviews.0

i like zumba it looks fun i have it but havent tried it actually but i have golds gym dance work out and it has tons of options....hope that helped0

I like them both but Just Dance 2 is more fun because my kids dance with me! :happy:0

Zumba is awesome! I0

Sold my Wii and got an Xbox with Kinect...
Dance central rocks! so does Your Shape.
No Controller to hold on to.0 -
I have Wii Just Dance 2 and I've tried Zumba for Xbox and I would hands down go for Just Dance 2. My sister purchased Zumba for Wii and hates it.0

I personally don't like just dance 2 and I can't say anything about zumba. Just wasn't much of a workout for me and lots of downtime in between songs but if you are looking to have friends over and have a blast then probably just dance0

I don't have the Wii Zumba and have never done Zumba, so I can't really comment on that, but we have Just Dance 2 and Just Dance Kids here and really like them both. And this is coming from someone that CANNOT dance! It's a great workout (I do the Just Sweat mode) and am always covered in sweat after I'm done.0

I have the Zumba DVDs and just love them!0

I like them both. Just Dance 2 always turns in to a big party at my house. All my kids ( teenagers) , neighbors, neighbor's kids (elem. age) come over and it turns in to all night thing!
I personally like the EA Wii Active. I especially like the cardio boxing...just to do something different. Try going to Game Stop or something similar and buy them used. Get 'em both!
Congratulations on the certification as a transcriptionist!0 -

My friend tried the Zumba for the Xbox and didn't like it but started attending an actual Zumba class and she likes it so much better. Said the real thing is so much more of a workout!0 -
Another vote for Just Dance over Zumba - I have both of these and Just Dance is my favorite!0

I really like doing Just Dance 2. It's a fun way to get exercise in. I've never tried Zumba on the Wii, but in person, or even with the videos, it's also really fun. I think I'd suggest Just Dance 2 first though, and then your next reward could be either the Zumba DVDs or game. Also, maybe try going to a Zumba class before deciding on getting the stuff. If you didn't like it live, you probably won't like the game/DVD. I went to a live class and sweated like crazy, and fell in love. But I still say Just Dance 2 first. Good luck, and good job reaching your goal!0

Jogging or running in place in-between song selection cuts out the down time a little bit.0 -
I use 'my fitness trainer dance workout' for wii & love it. Takes your stats & heart rate uses it to tell you calories burnt. Brought zumba & hated it must get round to selling it!0

I have both and suggest Zumba Wii. Just Dance 2 is difficult for me to use regularly to work out due to the load times and primary focus on arm movement. Zumba, on the other hand, can be played in 20/45/60 minute sessions. In fact, Zumba is my main form of cardio. I did 2 hours yesterday on Zumba and burned 1100 calories. I can really get into Zumba Wii and let loose. If you are willing to let yourself go crazy and be completely wrong with the moves at first then go for it! Zumba Wii is one of the best purchases I've made.0

Thanks you all for your suggestions!! I think I will get Just Dance 2 and look into taking a Zumba class, just to see if I will like it... besides, I have an almost 4 year old daughter, 10 year old neice and nephew, and 14 year old nephew who will probably enjoy the Just Dance also!... (if only to watch me make a fool out of myself! ) Thanks again!0

I LOVE Zumba!! I got to a class 3x's a week, but I also have the Wii zumba. It is great! Really gets the heartrate up and burns calories!0

Yeah I was doing jumping jacks but it still took me forever to burn even 140 calories.. I think for the calorie burn I'll go run the 1.5 miles to burn that or do my turbo jam... but if I am looking to get crazy at home with friends then sure Ill throw in just dane (I haven't touched it since I bought it months ago)0 -
I haven't tried the Zumba for Wii, but I do have Just Dance 2. It is excellent and fun (my four year old does it with me). I also wear ankle weights and weighted gloves while playing to increase my burn. The only complaint I have about JD2 at all is that I'm left handed and you have to hold the Wii-mote in your right hand. It was hard to adjust to at first because it just felt wrong, but I barely notice it now.0

im a zumba nerd so i will say zumba...0

I have Zumba for ps3, it's really fun! I haven't tried Just Dance 2 for wii yet though.0

Exact same experience. The person I sold it to isn't using it either. Just not the same as the class. Just Dance 2 is much, much better!0 -
I haven't tried Zumba, but I didn't care for Just Dance 2. Had to sell it. I just couldn't get into most of the songs. I like the first one a lot better.0

I have had Just Dance 2 for over 4 months now. I love it! I recently started using for fitness. At first I was using for a party starter, but the Just Sweat Modes are really a workout if you do the 3,000 pts a day one. Just Dance 2 will really work you arms + upper body out also since you are holding the remote and that signals the intensity. I just for Zumba for Wii and I actually like it too, it workouts out more of your lower body + waist since the controller fits on your hips/waist, there fore you are working more of your lower body+ waist. When I did the Zumba 20 minX 2 I was pouring buckets of Sweat in about 10-15 mins. My things, waist, back of legs, and arms really felt the burn after.
Just Dance has more current music and Zumba is Reggeatonand Latin
So it really depends on what portion of body you would like to work out!0 -
I would definitely go with Just Dance 2. I have both and Zumba for me just doesn't get me sweating like the way I want a workout to be. I find the songs on Just Dance 2 are fun and some are really high energy. I also like to put on ankle weights while I play to up the workout
When I feel like doing Zumba, I set up a list of YouTube videos and follow them, then you get to pick your song and intensity. It may be an option so you could get both of the workouts your deciding over in0
