hey..

i've been on MFP for about a week now, and I have been really good, I think. I have been watching what I eat, and I exercise a lot.

but i am super scared to check my weight now, i am afraid that if I see the same numbers, I might lose my motivation.

should i wait longer to weigh?

i welcome any kind of support and motivation from everyone, feel free to add me as a friend.

yes, in my opinion i would wait 1000%...remember this is YOUR plan. Wait till you are ready to accept result either way without feeling a hit to your motivation. good luck

Yes wait! Thats what I did for my last weigh in. I was really nervous and I knew that I would be discouraged if it hadn't moved. I now weigh myself every other week.

if you are worried about losing your motivation over the number on the scale then dont weigh yet. i would just wait until u start feeling like there may be a difference or even just wait til ur pants get loose then u will surely see a big loss and that will up your motivation please feel free to add me id love to support u and receive support

I would definitely say wait!! If you are so nervous and feel that you will lose your motivation, then wait another week and see how you feel then. You don't have to weigh in a certain number of times. Whenever you feel you can take the answer the scale will give you, do it then!!

If you are worried, I would wait. The longer you wait, the greater the loss will seem.
  • thank you all so much, you're right.. i am definitely not ready..
and the thing is; i have always been on the heavy side, even when i was thin.

    i am waiting, for sure!

I would also say wait but more importantly will tell you this. Your numbers do not define you! If you know that you are on track and following a healthy eating and exercise program, do not worry about the numbers. They mean nothing.
(I know, easier said then done)
