Could you be losing inches? Don't give up, you'll never know how well you can do if you don't try. Good luck!0

thanks so much! I think I may have because my clothes do fit better. I'll know officially next saturday when I take my measurements again. I've got to get off the mindset of thinking the scale is the only tool lol!0

I know what you mean, we all want to scale to move. Do not give up, there are so many factors as to why you may have not lost or the scale didn't move. First off if you are female, do NOT weight around your TOM, it will definitely put some water weight and tissue weight on you that wouldn't normally be there. I'd suggest skipping the week or two around it. Also, sodium, sodium sodium, how I love thee! lol.... Seriously though, a day after I take in a lot of sodium (bagged popcorn, beer, sodas, salty stuff) I wake up feeling bloated and normally weigh more than normal. So, just keep eating right and working out and weigh again next week. Keep at it, I know you CAN do it!!0

Keep going!!! I have been working since January!! I had about 15 lbs to lose and am at the 13 lb mark as of today!! Keep exercising! I had weeks too where I didn't lose anything but I have my metabolsim going now and that is they key! Even if it is just 20 minutes! you will feel so great when you done and feel better about yourself! I know the weather sucks!! We got 3-4 inches of SNOW yesterday so being outside is not in the cards for me either but find something to do to get your heart rate going!! You can do it!! :happy:0

wow, thank you! very encouraging stuff! and you are right, about TOM (which is next week). I've also been lifting and I need to keep in mind that will weigh heavier than fat, so...I guess I just need to keep pushing forward. thanks you so much for your words!!0

I'm in my 3rd week as well and I've been the same weight this week or even up over 1lb at one point which was frustrating. Was under calorie goals and on plan for exercise. I actually think I was not eating enough as I had a couple days where I was between 1300-1400 calories (I'm 5'9" and 230lb). I increased my calories the last couple days to between 1700-1800 and this morning was down 2.2 lbs!
I think finding the calorie "sweet spot" takes some trial and error.0 -
thanks brady! I have such a long way to go, so there is no looking back for me. my health can't afford it. and much congratulations to you on your goal!! that is really amazing!!!!0

sounds like you are onto something gargoyle. I'm 5'6" and started at 261. i've lost 8 so far. but I may need to look into the calorie thing. thanks!!0

I'm on week 5 right now and I had the same thing happen to me. Didn't loose ANYTHING my 3rd week. I was very depressed about it but kept going and low and behold week 4 I lost 2.5 lbs. Hang in there! If you stick to it the weight WILL come off! Good luck!!0
