HUGE WAKE UP CALL!!

Well, i went to the doctor thursday because i have yet another kidney stone because of my addiction to coca cola..:blushing: While sitting there going over my uranalysis (sp?) he brought to my attention that i had gained 6 pounds since my last visit!!!!:noway: which was like a month ago..He also said i thought u were trying to loose weight..are you counting your calories?? I was like WHOA!!! It is time to make a HUGE change..No time for games, it is time to get serious!! Just wanna thank my doctor for my current motivation..lol

Nothing like a visit to the doctor to get yourself motivated. My last visit wasn't so great either. If anything, I want to show him I can get my cholesterol down.

It's amazing how those pounds can sneak up on you. Gaining weight is a pretty easy thing for my family and me to do. I'm glad you have a Dr. who is paying attention and looking out for you. As for the kidney stones, I'm prone to getting them too. I wish I had a reason like too much pop, it would be an easy fix. They said it might be my sodium intake, but I've dropped that and I still get them. *sigh* I shouldn't complain, I'm in pretty good health otherwise. I hope you can get yours under control. I didn't know Coke could cause a kidney stone! How much do you drink? Is it Coke or Diet Coke (and does it even matter)? So sorry for the bad news, though. You can do this!

Im not sure what it is in it, i think i heard the carbonation..in that case it would be both diet and regular..Bummer i know cause i was raised on coke!! today is day one with no coke...BLAH! lol

There are many of us out there !! Coke addicts (cola that is) I just love bubbles.... I only drink bubbly wine too lol. You know what I've always taken comfort that my family Dr was a big woman too but my last visit about a month ago and damn she was looking fabulous !!! good for her but man made me feel bad that I haven't gotten on to it. Total motivation though too!!
