Toning Shoes

I've been thinking about buying a pair of toning shoes for a while. (sketcher's Shape Ups, Reebok EasyTone, etc.). I was wondering if anyone knows if they work, or if you have purchased them. If you have a pair, which brand is it? I also want to know which brand is the best, because there are several shoe brands that have these type of shoes. I would love to buy them, but I'm not going to spend the money on them if they don't work well. thank you!!!

I had a pair of knock-off reeboks, and I did not like them. They were super comfy to wear around for a few days, and then when I stopped wearing them my knees and feet would kill for about a week. And I don't know if they ever really did anything in terms of toning.0

I use the Reebok Run Tones and they are awesome! They are made for running and a lot of the "tone" shoes arent. They are super comfy and I REALLY noticed a difference in my legs. They are highly recommended by me!!!0

I have a pair of Sketchers Shape-Ups and I like them if all I am going to be doing is walking. Although they say that they can be used for running or walking I ran in them once and HATED it I would never run in them again!0

Yeah, do your homework on them. I've heard they're great, but then I've also heard they change the natural arch of your foot so you actually can't really wear normal shoes any more, so be careful.
Seems a bit gimmicky imho, but this is a completely uneducated, unexperienced opinion. Just seems like the "magic pill"0 -
They havent changed my foot any. I wear combat boots for a living, then throw them on to work out, and there isnt any difference in my foot. Ive been wearing them for about 2 months, and im going to be getting another pair of them next month when I get some new sneakers.0

I have a pair of EasyTones and LOVE them!!! I wear them everywhere. The first few days I could feel the muscles in my legs working and burning just from the shoes. EasyTones create a constant instability when standing and walking which makes your legs work harder at keeping you straight-that's how they work. They are really comfy too! I have high arches and haven't noticed any change in them when I wear regular shoes. Got mine at Marshall's for only $40...not too shabby.0

I have a pair of sketchers shape ups, as well as a pair of the tone ups flip flops. I really like them. I had the reeboks before, and they hurt my feet. I am also able to wear normal shoes with no problems after wearing the shape ups for awhile (months).0

I have a pair from Payless (wanted to try out the cheaper version before I paid $$$) that are similar to the Reebok shoes. I don't notive any difference unless I either run in them or walk for long periods of time. But when I do that, I notice that my legs and backside are burning. Must be working right??? Probably not enough to spend a lot of money on them though.0
