blood pressure change?

Has anyone else noticed, within a few weeks or months of beginning their exercise program, a measurable difference in their blood pressure?
A year and a half ago, when I was 210 pounds and not exercising, my resting BP was about 130/80. 16 months later, with on again/off again dieting and exercising, I'm 11 pounds lighter, have been eating much better food (health wise) and my resting BP is averaging 119/60. My resting pulse rate averages 66.
Just wondering if anyone else has tracked or seen such a change? I take it as a good sign of my improved health.

Oh yes, that's one of the reasons I started exercising. Even though I lost no weight for a year my Bp and Pulse both came down and I feel much better.0

One of the reasons I started exercising was because I had prehypertension. My bp had been running 138/88 for about 2 months. After I started exercising it started dropping and now is around 106/76 pretty consistently. I'd certainly say exercise is helping!0

Just losing 17 pounds made a huge difference in my blood pressure. I don't think it has been this good in about 15-20 years.0

I just had to get my BP meds changed because of my weight loss & exercising. Doc said if I stay on this course, I may be able to get off them completely! Hurray! Definitely keep monitoring it & tell your doc! BP is nothing to mess with. Good luck!0

My blood pressure has never been a problem, but I can definitely see how getting into a healthier state would improve it for people who have had issues with it. It improves everything!0
