They come in 45cm and 55cm sizes...you pick the one based on your height...I'm 5'4 so I use the 45cm0

I've had one for years (still have it) sitting on it right now. I have the Thera Band, very good quality.
Very usefull for me because I have nasty back problems.0 -
They are called by a variety of names . . . Swiss ball, physio ball , stability ball, therapy ball, fit ball, or gymnastic ball. I typically call it the swiss ball, because it's a short name. I LOVE MINE! I primarily use it for ,plant tucks, push ups and sit ups, but mine came with a book that gives you other exercises as well. They are all sized differently, and they are sized so when you sit on it, your knees should be bent just less than 90 degrees. Be advised, I couldn't find this in the listing of exercises to code it in to my diary.
If you are looking for greater core strength and flexibility, I'd recommend you give it a try.
Going to have a ball (go ahead and laugh, I'm laughing too!)0 -
hahahaha....sorry I must admit I only opened this cuz it said Balls....had to see what it said....
But to keep it clean I always just thought they were called exercise balls? *shrug* I used to use one as a teen and in Physical Therapy....wish I had recommendations....sorry :ohwell:0 -
Thank you everyone for you replies - some of them were useful....the others, made me smile so thanks!
Very bad night tonight, so thought id throw my mind into fitness plans!....Have now found one I want and will hopefully buy it tomorrow! Thanks again......
By the way.... if anyone give information on the weighted balls - medicine balls i think they are?
I would be muchly appreciated! Thanks again0 -
I have a Golds Gym one that I got at Wal-Mart it was pretty cheap. There are a bunch of Yoga Ball workouts on Youtube.0

I love mine. I use it all the time. I use it to sit on too because it forces good posture.0

When mine is not in use my 8yo daughter plays "fairies" with it and pretends it is a really large dew drop . . . just had to share. I like it, it helps me do squats when I put it against a wall.0

The medicine balls come in a lot of different weights, my gym has them from 2lbs to 15lbs...maybe more. I use them when I am doing my ab work. I hold the medicine ball while I am coming up and going down. It adds a lot to your workout calorie-wise and muscle-wise0
