My journey started on January 28, 2011 when my boyfriend of five years left. It was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I started gaining weight in 2008, which was my first year of college. Since 2008, I gained about 150 pounds. The heaviest I got to was 280 and I am now 242.

(me at my first trialthon, where I weighed 280. Do not ask me how I even did it! I guess I was more determined than I thought was possible!)

    Thanks! It is hard for me because I do not see the changes when I look in the mirror, but making this post, I am starting to see the changes!

    Keep up the great work. I think sometimes it's hard for us to see changes since we see ourselves every day in the mirror.
