Calorie Intake

Hello!
I have been following SW for a while and lost 3 and a half stone but now I am nearing goal I am thinking more about calories and things.
I am 20, 5ft 7.5 and 9st 8.
I'm not really sure how much I should be eating, I stick to less than 1000 but don't like consuming that many so some days will stick to between 500 - 700 to bring the average down a little..
Can anyone advise please?

Wow, I don't think you are eating enough cals. I am no expert, but I would suggest 1200/day at minimum. That is what I have been doing and losing weight steadily. 1-2 pounds a week.0

When you entered you information, MFP gives you a goal of how many calories to try to eat. You really don't want to eat under it. You're definitely not eating enough, babe. Don't be scared to eat... You won't lose if you eat to little either.

I found this link that might be helpful to you - it calculates your BMR - basic metabolic rate - so you know how many calories you require to maintain your weight. MFP actually deducts 500 calories from that number automatically to create a deficit for you.

Using the website alana gave me, it gave me 2026cals. I'm guessing I need to eat 500cals less than this everyday to lose 1lb a week? So that's 1526cals..Yikes. That's alot!

You should gradully increase your calories to that. If you are not feeling hungry it is probably because your metabolism is in slow motion. You really should be netting at least 1000-1200 a day.
Try adding nuts and advocado.0 -
I'm hungry alot but I just ignore it and do something to take my mind of it. I will try and stick to keeping it over 1000 but not sure I can get up to 1500!

Okay. I've got to 766. No way on this earth I can manage more today, just can't do it..
I want to go for a run but keep reading horror stories of muscle wastage if net cals is too low...
