This is a 4 out of 5 challenge. Meet 4 of the following goals every day to stay in the challenge.
Goal 1 - Log all food
Goal 2 - drink at least 8 cups of water
Goal 3 - work out for 30 minutes per day
Goal 4 - stay under your calories
Goal 5 - do something for yourself (read a magazine article, a book, work on a hobby, etc....)
Each day you'll log in and tell us how many goals you've reached for the day. If you don't reach 4 goals you'll be out for the week (but don't worry you can join us again the following week). If you do not reach 4 of the 5 goals and have not earned a grace day just post that you're out and then please refrain from posting until the new challenge is posted the following week.
If you hit all 5 goals three days in a row you can earn a grace day. Grace days can be used at any time for any reason, you don't need to justify it - simply state that you're using a grace day. Grace days can be banked from week to week but you have to earn them within one week. That means you can't count Saturday, Sunday, Monday as your three days in a row because each challenge will begin on Monday.
If you drop out of the challenge with unused grace days you forfeit those grace days.
I will set up a new post each Sunday for the following week's challenge.

I'm in if I can be! I didn't realize last week that this says for NEW people. I have been on and off of MFP for years! i've never really been that good at posting all of my food, closing out my log each night, drinking all of my water, and all the other goals you have for this challenge so I really wanted to do it.
Can also participate even though i'm not a new person? This is a really great motivation.0 -

It was actually three separate workouts. This morning I walked on the treadmill for 15 minutes as a warm-up then rode the stationary bike for an hour (13 miles). After work I went to they gym and lifted weights for about 40 minutes. Then during my son's soccer practice I walked on the walking trail at the park for an hour. All total I burned 1,160 calories today. :happy:0 -

I took my first Zumba class tonight. Of course I was silly enough to do that right after taking my first Body Pump class. I think I'm going to be really sore tomorrow. I liked the body pump class but I LOVED the Zumba class. I logged it as aerobics - high impact but I think I burned more calories than MFP says I did. When I do the bike which MFP says burns more calories I don't get nearly the workout that I got tonight. Anyone know how to accurately log a Zumba class?0 -

Goal 3 - work out for 30 minutes per day (ran 3.5 miles and did the eliptical for 20 minutes)

Goal 3 - Slightly failed here. I worked a 12 hour shift and did my 30 day shred after (so only 20 min). Im proud I managed too
when I was so tired though.
Goal 4 - stayed good
Goal 5 - My favorite. Had the guts to tell my ex I deserved better and to go away :-). I havent even weighed in yet, but just living
healthy makes you more self confident. I should have said that months ago.0 -

We had severe storms and lots of tornadoes touched down in the area last night so the tornado sirens were going off all night. I am exhausted and just didn't have what it took to work out today. I really hope tonight is a much calmer night and I can sleep!0 -
