Zumba - Wii / PS3 Move / Xbox Kinect

I'm thinking I want to purchase the Zumba game for one of our systems. I just don't know which one is better and the reviews all say different things.
Has anyone worked with the Zumba on any of these systems and if you love it could you tell me what makes it so good? and if you don't like it again, why?
I was leaning towards the PS3Move but it looks like it's only accurate if you get what one review poster called the "elusive hip band" i'm not sure I want to purchase a game that won't work at it's best if I need an extra piece of equipment no one can find.
i was thinking the Wii one might work better than because you can tuck the remote in to your yoga pants like I do with the free run on wii Fit.
I haven't used any of the kinect games as of yet as it's the "new toy" in the house and the kids are all over it lately....
Thanks!!

I am not a "techie" persay, but I love the Wii that we have. It is a lot of fun. My daughter and I did the "Just Dance 2" together today, and tennis, and boxing. Don't know if you have kids, but I like it, and when my niece and nephews were just up here, they loved it too. Hope this helps. We have Zumba on it too. Love it!:bigsmile:0

I personally like doing zumba on the wii. I have tried it on the Kinect but the thing that i dont like on it is that when doing multiplayer I cant get it to see both people that are playing. With the wii I just stick the remote in my pocket or down the side of my pants which works. I dont have the PS3 Move so i dont know anything about it. Hope this helps.0

I have the Zumba game for the Wii.It is fun and you will burn a good amount of calories. The Wii game comes with a hip strap that will allow you to do the game without holding the remote. I actually like to do an actual Zumba class rather than the Wii game.0

I like doing Zumba on my wii!! It's so fun!! The only problem I have is the hip strap doesn't fit me around my hips so I have to wear it around my waist, but it still works pretty good.0

I haven't played Zumba, but my parent's have a Wii and we've a kinect. I would definitely go for the Kinect. We have Dance central and it seems a lot more accurate and more of a workout than my parent's Just Dance game. I think that it is because there is no controller and it focuses on all of the movements on your body. So if you're not working something the way your supposed to, it'll call you on it. I've never tried the Move, but again, it has a controller. I love playing the Kinect sports and Dance Central for my rainy day workouts! It's a lot of fun, and you can really break a sweat!
Good Luck!0 -
I recently purchase Zumba for Wii (29.99 on sale at Best Buy) and it comes with the belt to hold the remote. I would advise against sticking it in the waist of your pants because you are going to get sweaty...really sweaty. I LOVE this game! It's so much fun you really don't think about it being exercise.
You should know that Zumba does require coordination. It's more challenging than a dance game like Just Dance because it monitors your hip movement not your hands. I fumbled through the first workout but it gets easier to follow each time. I'm having a blast and burning major calories.
I can't speak to the PS3 move because I've never used it.0 -

Same here. My parents have a Wii and I have a Kinnect. I haven't gotten Zumba for Kinnect yet but Dance Central is still a pretty good workout and I love not having to worry about the controller. I've played Just Dance and one of the EA "Fit" games (can't remember what it's called) and find myself having to retrieve wayward controllers from the ends of wrist straps (for the fit game you're supposed to keep it in a thigh pouch which DOESN'T stay on me very well).0 -
I have the Zumba-Wii..and i love it..i havent really played it alot..because i actually attend the Zumba classes a couple of days per week..but when i dont..it does make up for it. The hip strap is very helpful and it definitely does monitor your hips..so you have to throw them around...Good Luck0

Thanks Everyone!
we have the sports championship for the move and while you do have to hold on to the controller, I did the beach volleyball tourney and the archery tourney the other night and my muscles ACHE...not intense cardio, but lots of muscle movement.
We have Just dance one and two for the Wii and I love them, but they get really easy after a while. We also have We Cheer for the Wii and while the moves are definitely designed for a full cardio, I find that there's a little lag on reaction, so I have to slow it down a bit...i'm looking for something with that no lag feel and intense cardio...
When I read the reviews online, I was leaning towards the Wii just based on the fact that the PS3 Move doesn't have a high audience review factor yet....
Thanks again0 -
We have all three systems (my hubby is obsessed) and the Kinect is the best of them, BY FAR! No controller to keep track or worry about flinging into your tv, the most accurate, and the most user friendly. I workout with a "personal trainer" and the downloadable content for Kinect makes sure you never gets bored. Best games for Kinect so far: Dance Central, My Fitness Evolved, Kinect Adventures.0

We bought it, but I have not personally used it yet. Though hubby looked like he was going to die while he was doing the fruit smash game, lol.0 -

It was the boxing that got me! I had to use a thermal patch on my shoulders the next day! I swear I grew traps in one night of the boxing! haha0 -

I just bought Zumba for Kinect and love it. I don't know from experience, but I can't imagine it would be as challenging with the Wii or PS Move because it's only sensing from your hips. With the Kinect it can see your whole body - arms, shoulders, hips and feet. And it will point out to you if you're out in any of those areas. I find it more challenging than a real class - maybe because my instructor is easy on us and with the game I am more conscious of doing it right because the object of the game is to get the moves as accurately as possible... and to keep up!
Thanks to the above posters on the kinect game recommendations. I'm looking forward to trying the Michael Jackson Experience too.0
