Workout tunes

I currently have a first gen ipod touch, and I have very little music on (or at least it seems that way compared to most people) because I have a huge problem with downloading music illegally. I have no problem with other people who do it (as that is almost EVERYONE I know), but as a musician myself, I just can't find it in myself to download music that I know I'm suppose to be paying for. Well, that "moral fiber" of mine, combined with me being an unemployed student, has resulted in me having only a handfull of albums on my ipod, all of which I bought from itunes.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get guilt free-workout tunes for free or cheap. I know there's legit ways to get music online, I just don't know what they are.
I should also mention, the wi-fi on my touch is screwing, so I can't stream music from like Pandora or sites like that. =(

Also, interested to know what people's favorite workout jams are? What gets you pumped up and ready to sweat?

You could go to the library and check out some CD's (idk about yours but my library has an impressive selection.lol) and burn them onto your computer

There is a DJ that I follow on Twitter. His name is DJ Inferno & he's based out of Las Vegas. He has all of his mixed up, free to download, here:

It's great work out music if you're into house music, techno, etc. I've downloaded all of his mixes (all of them are about an hour long) and I work out to them. :)

Since you're looking for legit methods (and downloading cds from the library is not legal) I recommend searching the itunes store for podcasts

Different music stations that cover the types of music you like. I love KEXP seattle's podcast, but it's mostly indie rock. Also some music magazines will offer free downloads on their websites. If anyone knows of one that has more dance kind of music I'd love to hear it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I've actually just started a search for free music given out by the artists, cause of your ideas!

I personally like rock, or rap to work out to. Something fast and loud! lol Strangely enough, I find myself listening to neo-soul and jazz for about hour after I work out, I think that's how I cool down.
