From what I see, you are doing pretty good! You only had one day where you were over by a significant amount (I think it was a "party day") and on most days you are only over in protein and fiber, which I don't think is a bad thing! I would try to fit in more exercise, but you are doing great! Keep up the good work!!

you seem to have an amazing balance of everything and are doing very well with water intake.

the only problem i see is that you go over your protein a lot. even if you're working out often that could be a problem.
try cutting meat out of one meal a day and see if that helps. honestly i think it will. you can replace meat with other savory things like avocado in salads.

I don't see any food recorded for breakfast - There are quite a few snacks....do you work late? Whatever you may think and whatever you may feel, breakfast is a MUST. It gives your metabolism the kick-start needed to start the day......:-)

i have the same problem with breakfast LOL im such a night owl!! i probably only have breakfast like twice a week xD

im not sure if too much protein is as bad as too much fat, sodium, or sugar

but there are some sources that say its still not a great idea in your diet if youre trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle

cutting meat out of one meal should make yours perfect though
you seem fine besides the daily overdose of protein

I disagree about cutting some protein! Even on days where you exceed your protein goal, you still aren't eating an excessive amount of protein. Lean protein (yes, eaten with EVERY meal) helps aid in weight/fat loss. Eating protein with your carbs helps your body digest and utilize those carbs better AND lean protein helps you feel full and keep you full longer; therefore, being able to eat less throughout your day!

Ok so now i am confused. Should i try to stick with the 60 grams, or go above that as long as the protein has a lean source?

My brain feels fried trying to do the best possible thing :( lol

im totally gonna tell you to go with her advice over mine

she seems like a veteran and literally all i am is a newbie xD

i saw red and googled the negatives of high protein but i wasnt looking at the fact that your protein is mostly coming from light sources

Protein is not necessarily bad though; it is the "quality" or type of protein that you choose that is important. Your body cannot utilize all proteins equally (i.e. one of the reasons why certain fish is better than red meat, or pea protein based protein shakes are better than soy protein based shakes). Your body needs the quality protein to give you the sustainable energy that you need as well as the muscle you need to build to boost your metabolism.

I noticed that you eat mostly iceberg lettuce... may sound like a small sticking point, but I recommend higher fiber lettuces like romaine or your mixed greens; much healthier for you.

Ultimately it comes down to: good quality protein, enough leafy green vegetables, minimal processed foods, low sodium, adequate water intake, and regular exercise (both cardio & weight training). Sounds easy right? I wish I could say it was. I just learn as I go along & take one step at a time!

Good for you to ask and be open to learning! You are on your way!

Right, excessive amounts of protein isn't necessary unless your really into body building. 60 - 100 grams is still on the low side; don't worry if you go into red zone there.
