so being on this site for like year, tracking cals and working out..the lowest weight i got down to was 129, an dthen got stuck there for months..but recently, past few weeks maybe, i gained, and went back up to 133, what i dont get is that ive been doing better on this site then i have in the past. i log on more, i work out more, i now drink 8 glasses day..i NEVER even got close to that, and i just added sodium to my diary which i never did before... so how come im trying harder, doing more, and not seeing a result, when a few months ago, when i did way less, i had at least SOME change, granted..i would loose like a pd every 2 months but like i said, after almost a year i lost 8 pds..down to 129- not looking at sodium, not logging on the weekends, eating more processed foods, same (1200 cal goal)..and now that im doing better.. and looking at those things, igained a few pds and there not going anywhere.

Is it possible that you've managed to gain a few pounds of muscle? Have you been doing any resistance training? I would recommend checking out Crossfit workouts as a chang of pace. Sometime you have to shock your system to break through the plateau.0

Is it possible that you're not getting enough calories and slipping into starvation mode? Sounds like you hit a plateau and are trying to work harder to get through it.
Check out Episode 45 of the Fat2Fit podcast at fat2fitradio.com. I sounds like you may be experiencing what they describe.0 -
JMadre is right....caloric intake has a tremendous impact on your metabolism. If you aren't eating every two and a half or three hours, but eating the right things, your metabolism could have hit bottom. Eat more cruciferous vegetables and fruits and lean protein....eat small, eat often...and your metabolism should get a boost.0

As time goes on ur body changes especially for women, ur hormones change ur body hets used to the same old routine, or foods ur eating are not helping. Change ur diet as in calories and different foods... Have high and low cal days. Its all about testing things out, we are all different....0

I had a quick look at your diary and while I didn't go back to far at least in the past few days you didn't have much to work with. If you are looking to lose 15 pounds or less you need to reduce your number of pounds per week to lose down. You should try for no more than 1 pound per week, maybe even only half a pound per week. If you do this you will need to really log your food carefully. I will try to have another look later to see what I can see0

You don't accidentally gain a few pounds of muscle.
It takes lots of time to do that and extra calories under most circumstances.-0 -
You received many suggestions last week when you asked a similar question. Perhaps return to that thread, re-read some of the observations and suggestions that were offered and try incorporating a few of those?0

thanks, ill def. check that out, i have been thinking about raising my daily cal goal.0 -
According to your diary, EVERY day you've logged, you didn't eat your calories required. You may want to re-read this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/10589-for-those-confused-or-questioning-eating-your-exercise-calo
Take for example, yesterday. You only ate 1215 calories of your 1516 required. Because you exercised (for 316) calories, your NET calories was only 900(ish). Anything uner 1000 calories can put you into starvation mode. Try eating all your exercise calories. Just like a car can't run efficiently without gas, your body can't run efficiently without enough fuel.0 -

I have no PM from you. Just went and checked my mail and there is nothing there from you, nor has there ever been.
I've got no issue with avoiding you, however, now that I know that's your preference.0 -
Did you just recently change that? If so, there might be a small "rebound" in weight which will come off very quickly. I had a bit of that with my first increase but not my most recent one. It was gone in less than a week.0

really not sure whats going on between users here but it doesnt read to me, as a new comer, to fit with the MFP mutual respect and support network (0

to clear this up, i thought the user who mentioned a recent post of mine was another user, who in an older post messaged me, started but bashing me, flat out said stuff she had no idea about and no real right to do, very rude. pissed me off. i love mfp, and i love when i post something, people respond, give support and their opinions, and i value that, but this other person DID NOT do that, and atlantique also responded to that other post, hence why she looked familiar and thought it was her. and i already wrote her and apologized.0

Maybe while not logging weekends you were eating more therefore your body was responding as it should. I am pretty sure I have replied to one of your posts before (no PM from me though) and looking at the answers you got here perhaps you still aren't eating enough. I think it was suggested before that you eat healthy, continue to log accurately and keep your calories above 1200 calories. Some get scared thinking more calories = more weight but since I have upped mine from 1332-1560 I have started to lose again. In the last 10 days alone I have lost 2.5lbs and my goal is set to .5lbs a week!
Good Luck0
