Hi, I'm having troubles with this...
I'm now gaining weight, muscle I think but I'm losing inches. Is there something I'm doing wrong? How can I also make my weight go down?

Keep in mind that muscle is about 7x more dense than fat...so you might lose SIZE but as that space starts being taken up by muscle...You might not see as much of a change at the scale. I stopped worrying as much about my weight once I realized I was able to go from a Size 42 pants down to a Size 38 (and those are starting to feel saggy)
As you get into better shape you will gain muscle but lose fat.0 -
thats a good thing..it happens to us all..inches is better..add me if you like..you are not doing anything wrong, you are doing fine :happy:0

This was my issue for the first couple of months that I was going to the gym on a regular basis. I was gaining weight on the scale but losing inches over the rest of my body. I got discouraged and quit going to the gym. DON'T DO WHAT I DID! Keep doing what you're doing. The "weight" that you're gaining is probably muscle, which is helping to burn the calories and fat that you have stored. Muscle weighs more than fat does, so while the scale might go up for a little while, loss of inches (and the way your clothes fit) is a much better indicator of how you're doing.0

I just started ChaLEAN Extreme, and she stresses the importance of not just relying on the scale to track your progress. Losing inches is good- that means you're replacing fat with muscle, which is more dense but takes up less space.0

Muscle is hard to gain, if you are gaining more than a couple pounds a month it’s probably not muscle. If you are still losing inches, it’s more than likely just water fluctuation weight you are seeing on the scale. Check your food diary and see if you are under calories like you should be, if so, just keep on doing what you are doing, the scale will go down in the long run too.0
