Just joined last week and am loving this stie! I love that I can track my food/exercise on the computer and on my blackberry while I'm on the go using the My Fitness Pal app.
I'm a mom of a two..... 9 and 4. I'll be 33 this August, I'm recently divorced as of last July, I quit smoking in early December and started watching my weight in January. I started out with Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, finished that out and just started last week on her new dvd Ripped in 30. So far so good on Week 1, but I'm scared to move on to Week 2 after reading reviews haha. Now, I'm not overweight, and have never been one that had to watch my weight, but the past two years have been so crazy with the divorce stress, going on and coming off several anti-depressants and sleeping meds, quit smoking twice! (relapsed shortly after the divorce), etc....you get the idea. What a nightmare by the way....looking back I can somewhat laugh! No, but I really am taking my new life seriously and this journey to a healthier lifestyle. I'm just becoming completely obsessed with all of it
I'm 5'3" and when I decided to start dieting and exercising regularly I weighed myself at 132 lbs which is alot for me! This time last year I was around 120, give or take. So this was the most I've ever weighed besides my pregnancies and honestly it was frightening to see the numbers on the scale that high. I started working out with Jillian's 30DS 3-4 nights per week and twice a week I did straight cardio, running 2-3 miles depending on how I felt. As I mentioned before I started Ripped in 30 last week and am just continuing on. I'm at 126 lbs now, so I've lost 7 lbs since I started in January. However, my boyfriend thinks I've gained at least 4 lbs of muscle. I've toned up a ton and hello I have my teensy waistline back, but I'm still trying to get down to 120 again! So here I am to meet others on the same journey as myself, as everyone else is kinda sick of hearing my talk day and night about my health and exercising haha.
Sorry it's so long!

It's awesome to see that despite everything that you've been through, you're still motivated to improve yourself for yourself. I understand the over 30 weight gain. It happened to me, too. I consider myself to be a lazy person, but since I've been using myfitnesspal, I'm more aware of how much I snack and what I'm snacking on. I've been making better choices, too. I'm also doing the Get Ripped in 30 days. I'm still on week one. Once I graduate from school, I'll be able to dedicate more time to the video, but Jillian kicks your behind. And I love it!0
