Hey all! I am trying to come up with a healthy dessert and entree to take to my Grandma's Easter dinner. Can't be too complicated, as my hubby will be cooking it :)
Any suggestions??

    Strawberries and creme?

I also made a light white cake this week, pureed orange for on top, and finished it of with a dollop of Cool Whip. It was yummy and my husband loved it too!

I find at Easter everyone is partaking in chocolate, so some refreshing fruit with the option of fruit dip (if those desire) is nice, or make an angel food cake with berries? (Angel food cake has more sugar than most cakes, but is low fat)

As for Entree? Hrmm... lean pork rolled with kale, mushroom, red onion sauteed in their own moisture rolled into it for a pretty presentation....

Grape salad! Mix fat free sour cream with splenda granulated and brown sugar. Stir grapes in. Add pecans if desired. Only need a tablespoon or two of each type of sugar.

    STRAWBERRY & BLUEBERRY TRIFLE

1 qt. Fresh Strawberries (slice with egg slicer)
2 sm. containers of Fresh Blueberries
2 sm. boxes Vanilla Instant Pudding (prepare as directed on box)
    1 tub of Cool Whip
1 sugar free Angel Food Cake (or pound cake)

Tear half of the Angel Food Cake into bite-sized pieces and place in bottom of a trifle or punch bowl. Next, pour in half of the pudding you made. Then place in half of the sliced strawberries and one container of blueberries. Repeat layers and top with Cool Whip. Keep refrigerated.

    Edited: for spelling

here is a great dessert recipe and easy to make

    Death by Chocolate
    Makes 24 1/2 cup servings

1 package low fat brownie mix (prepared)
3 packages Light Chocolate mousse mix (I use Oetker), Prepared
    3 Skor bars (crushed)
    1 container Cool Whip lite

Prepare brownies as per package directions, when cool crumble.
Prepare mousse as per package directions.
In a large glass bowl, such as a punch bowl or something you would use for a
trifle layer the ingredients as follows.

    * 1/3 of the brownies
    * 1/3 of the mousse mix
    * 1/3 of the skor bar
    * 1/3 of the cool whip

    Repeat this 3 times.

This is great to take to a large get together it serves about 24 people
