Weight lifting calories burned

Options
I felt cheated when I dutifully logged my weight lifting for the day and noticed that no calories were subtracted. What's the deal?

Enter "strength training" into the cardio section to get an estimate of calories burned.

I know what you mean. It's kind of funky that it has to be listed under the cardio section. Not sure how accurate it can be either.

Nothing on the database on MFP is accurate, it is all based on estimates. The best thing to do is use an HRM to calculate caloric burn, the are usually within 10%.

A heart rate monitor :-) The ones with the chest straps are the most accurate.
