calorie intake

Options
Hi, I've been on a diet for nearly 3 weeks and I have lost 5 pounds.
I jog 6 days a week for 60 minutes.
my calorie intake is around 900 a day and i just found out this is really bad, and thats probably why i havent lost more.
but also Im happy with my 5 pounds loss.
Should I stick on my 900 calories intake or increase for 1200 calories?

Thanks.

I would definitely increase. Once you get to your "goal weight", it will be easier to gain back because your body will store the nutrients it has not been getting.

increase your calories a bit, the only time i eat that few calories is on a day when i know i'm not going to exercise or exercise very little.

    It's bad for 2 reason.
    1. it lowers your metabolism so you burn calories slower. It will take you longer to reach your goal and possible cause issues with other internal organs along the way because they are not getting the calories they need each day.
    2. Once all your fatty tissue is gone, it burns lean tissue (muscle)

So yes, stay at around 1200 cal each day.
