What Does Hair Weigh?

Okay serious question...

No seriously.

Anyone ever thought about how much your hair on your head weighs? Because I just cut off my hair from mid-back to shoulder length. I bet I lost a half pound of hair!

Any estimates?

Edit: found a site. I might have lost 1/8 of a pound of hair. Curiosity averted!

    edit: I think i have 3/8 lb of hair... or maybe even half a pound... interesting

    I bet wet hair weighs a LOT! Probably quadruple what dry hair weighs.

    I have to admit the thought came to mind when I got my hair cut the last time but usually I don't.. So I have to blame that thought on my MFP addiction especially since my hair wasn't that long.
