I live a busy lifestyle. I need quick tasty fast recipes that can be considered healthy and filling. I am curious about how to take steamed veggies and add what to them for flavor? I guess a course in cooking wouldn't hurt. I haven't embarked on learning to eat healthy before so this is new to me.

Btw I am also having trouble staying full... any tips besides water?

Besides your water intake, the trick is to balance out your meals. If you find that your meals don't keep you full for 3-4 hours, try adding an extra portion of protein to your meal.

I am beginning to see why 5-6 small meals work out better.

When you eat carbs, try to eat whole grain (pasta, cereal, etc.). Snack on fresh fruits and veggies. I like to take apples, bananas, carrot and celery sticks, etc. to work with me as snacks. Also, I find eating a lot of vegetables with my meals helps to fill me up on fewer calories, especially salads or cooked broccoli.

With regards to making tasty steamed veggies, it just depends on your preference. I like to steam mine with minced garlic, a tiny bit of salt (just a tiny, tiny bit), and black pepper. However, you could try adding relatively low cal sauces like schezuan sauce, miso sauce, etc. depending on your tastes. You just have to be sure to use these things in moderation and remember a little bit of sauce goes a long way.

    Hope this helps!
