I'll admit... exercise is not my favorite thing in the world but I love the way my body feels after I exercise. I have been searching for something cardio that is easy and will burn calories and I thought I would share my findings. I just started it this morning and burned a decent amount of calories with 1 mile of walking IN MY OFFICE BY MY DESK. I just put the dvd in my computer, stood up and went for it. So simple, took only 15 minutes and I worked off almost all of my breakfast :)

The DVD is called Walk Slim by Leslie Sansone. You can choose 1, 2, 3, or 4 mile workouts.

For those of you who decide to try it, let me know how you like it.

Have an amazing day everyone!

Wanted to add the amount of calories burned with 1 mile / 15 minutes - 87 calories.

I love that DVD!! I've lost 20 lbs so far, just exercising to that! (And walking outside a little)...always do mine at home, they'd look at me strangely if I did it in my cubicle! LOL

Her walks don't always include just walking. Did you have to do kicks, knee lifts and side steps? I don't have room for that in my cube ;(

I have a couple of her DVD's too and love her. I have fibromyalgia, so these are enough to challenge me without killing me.
I have a couple of pals here that love them too.

Love her dvds, I also have the 1 , 2 & 3 mile dvds. I just did the jane fonda on on exercise tv to try her walk one to mix it up and even though she is older she can move fairly good for her age. I then tried last night walking cardio shape up also on exercise tv with chris freytag omg, she uses similar moves to leslie sansone yet adds in squats and jogging and hand weights, got a full body workout and was drenched in sweat, highly recommend that also if you like leslies. happy walking , enjoy!

Yes, small kicks and side steps. I guess it all depends on how much space you have. She does say however that as long as you keep walking to the music, you are getting a good workout. So, even if you just do a small side kick when prompted or simply walk in place, I'm sure it will work for you. You're still getting your heart rate up simply by moving to the beat of the music she plays. :)

I also hate exercising, but I enjoy going for walks. All winter I more or less maintained the weight I was at because walking was not an option. I have a couple of her videos and they are great for when it is freezing or pouring rain and I can't get outside. I have a few Biggest Looser videos and see that they have a "Power Walk" video out and I have been tempted to get it. Anyone tried that one?

I wish I were a P90X or Insanity 6days a week type of person...but I'm more of a "play Just Dance with the kids for an hour" type.:ohwell:

Sounds like an interesting program. Would probably get some looks from my Exec. Asst. and anyone who passes by my office!
