activity level for office job but doing Insanity

Hey, I've read somewhere that those doing Insanity should select active for their daily level, even if they have a desk job. This is because of the massive calorie burn from the workout. Is this really the way I should do it? I get up and move a lot, and try to walk the stairs at least once every couple hours just to get my blood flowing. I have it set to lightly active at this point, and add in my workout manually for the additional calories.
How are other Insanity (or other extreme workout) people doing this?

Don't know where you heard that - but you should still be "lightly active" (or even sedentary based on desk job). Insanity is in your "workout" portion, so you should log it, to ensure you eat your exercise calories back, but it should NOT be taken into account for your "activity level"0

Thanks! I looked back and found that the calculator that had that comment didn't have a way of accounting for exercise. It was basically just activity level, height and weight. No where near as handy as myfitnesspal!0

I believe your activity level is what you do on an average day NOT including workouts. Then you log your excercise burn (do you have a HRM?) to see how many calories you are supposed to eat in addition to your regular calories.0

Just be honest. Pick whichever suits your daily activity and then add any additional exercise via the Exercise tab.0
