I was wondering if any of the ladies have hypothyroidism (metabolism slow) and going through menopause? If so, what are you doing to successfully lose weight. As we know, it's an uphill battle especially when you're dealing with homornal imbalance. I currently taking synthroid for thyroid support; however, it dosen't seem to help me. Right now, I'm looking into BHRT (Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy) to increase my overall well being. I'm tired of feeling sluggish, foggy memory, and all the other symptoms of thyroid and menopause. Is anyone else taking BHRT to help with thyroid and menopause? If so, how is it working for you? Have you lost weight?

  • ask your DR about Armour thyroid, it is the ONLY natural one.

    Yup, that's me!

Sure wish I had an answer for you...so far I've lost 3 lbs in 7.5 weeks. Totally sucks. I work out 90-120 minutes 6 days a week & underestimate my workouts. I count/weigh everything, from spices to condiments to my 25 raisins. I eat all my exercise calories or at least 90% of them most days. I try to keep true "treats" to once or twice a day. I am unmedicated for the Hashimoto's Thyroiditis for now. Basically, it's suuuuuper slooooooww, but I'm determined to just keep pluggin' away. Hope you have better results than me :(
