is this the result of having catfish for lunch?!

Ive been craving catfish for way too long and have had it 3 times in the past week. I've had it a million times before and never got sick from it. And I prepared it the same way today, as I always have.

And now, 4 hours later. I'm felling like I need to vomit. If I burp a little, I do vomit. I have a funky taste in my mouth as well. It's hard to explain. I got it a lot when I was pregnant, but can't recall ever having it when not pregnant until now.

Now I want to get sick at even thinking of having to eat dinner.

I'm not sure if the feeling the need to vomit is connected to the horrible taste in my mouth, or if the two have nothing to do with each other.

Suggestions?
I know two questions what will probably be asked are if I undercooked it- I dont think I undercooked the fish. And how I cooked it- I breaded and fried it. Fried=horrible I know. I'm not looking for a lecture on that right now though.

What is this taste in my mouth all about?!

It may have nothing to do with the fish at all, but I know I felt EXACTLY like that when I had e. coli poisoning......
  • No lectures here! I think it's actually good for the soul to indulge occassionally, even on a diet. However, it's been my experience that when I've been eating very well and then indulge in something very fatty (particularly deep fried as the high temperatures actually change the chemical make-up of the fat,, extra olive oil won't do it to me), I will sometimes also feel sick. Am wondering if the horrible taste in your mouth could be acid reflux? Does it sort of burn?

    Food poisoning is the worst.

If you had the same thing when you were pregnant, it could be acid reflux.

I'm sure there can be 1000 reasons for feeling this way but I googled it and found this. Maybe it is some sort of allergy. Did u fry it last time too?? I'm sorry I don't know much else to tell you :(

Sounds like reflux to me... I get it ALL the time. Get some Zantac 150mg (or the generic version) and take 1-2 tablets. You should start feeling better in about 30 min. Also try drinking some milk that will help neutralize the acid in your tummy. Hope you feel better soon!
