Hi everyone, I am new to the site, I have been using myfitnesspal on and off for about a month. I have decided to stop lifting weights for 1 month, I have begun my fat shredding phase today. My goal is to stay active and exercise without lifting weights, for one month. I am excited and look forward to making some new friends on here.

Why give up lifting weights? You want to maintain muscle mass in order to get shredded, to do that you need to continue lifting. You can get shredded, by lifting, clean eating, and cardio. If you cut out lifting, you may become skinny fat, instead of shredded.

I thought about that too...I was doing all cardio...lost weight fast. I have been doing weights now..my shape is changing,, I am fitting into smaller clothes..but the scale is not moving! My hubbie told me to maybe lay off the weights for 1 month...but I think I will still do them, and just do more cardio along with it. Good Luck!

I think it would be best to keep a balance of both. :)
