off the wall exercises when u least expect it??

example 1: the other day my son came running up to me so i lifted him up (36 lbs) and felt a burn in my arms. so i kept doing it in reps of 5. downfall to that, he loved it and kept screaming for another half hour... again mommy... again mommy...

example 2: was taking the laundry over to the laundry room and caught myself doing curls with the laundry detergent!

example 3: and the most ridiculous one yet... i caught myself in the yoga warrior 1 position. did i mention i was in the shower???

just curious to what other ppl do without realizing they are doing it. lol.

No such thing as off the wall exercises. If it feels good and it's not going to hurt you, go for it.

I was a weightlifter in my late 20's til mid 30's. Then I started yoga. Trust me, there are no exercises

that are "off the wall." Keep up the good work.

    OK I will play along.....

I now squat in front of the stove when cooking...up down up down

I do butt flexes all the time while sitting on the puter (not sure if this is an excersise but its weird)

I now bend over to pick up stuff off the floor rather than use my feet

Non excersises I do all the time now....

I flex my arm muscles like popeye and show them to everyone over n over again

I also do some turbo jam, tae bo moves on my kids joking around telling them I will karate kick their *kitten*

Well on my walk back to my office from break, I stopped five times to do wall-squats, and then walked the long way back, walking up and down five other rows of cubicles.

    And that's regular for me.
Or doing squats when I'm at home watching weeds.

    LOL!

I used to do all my lifting at home when i first started out (and was much weaker).

I'd often do a type of farmer's walk....using my then girlfriend as the "weight", haha. Throw her on my shoulder, then she was 80kgs....and walk up and down our place, with 5 half squats at each end...

now that, was a good workout for someone starting out...these days i can pick her up from the floor in my arms comfortably throw he on the bed haha! and she hasnt lost any weight!

Today I doubled my walk time with my dogs just to see how much different it woul feel physically and to see if I would get fatigued. And I am happy to report that it felt BETTER! And I had more energy when I got home! MY FAT CHIHUAHUA kept laying down on ppl's lawns and looking at me like "Mom, can we stop now???" LOL

Everytime I go to the printer at work I will stretch some part of my body. No point standing there doing nothing :P Especially when the rest of the day is spent sitting on my *kitten*.

Get my air squats done when I go to the bathroom as well.

I don't stand still when I blowing my hair. I try to do things to work my waist and always butt clenches. Hard to keep a towel on!

I find myself doing squats while loading laundry. Then yesterday was pushing my son on the swing and went into lunges.

I quite often end up doing leg presses with my daughter when we play "superman"! Basically, i'm laying on the bed on my back and then i put my feet on her tummy and hold her hands and then WHOOOOOSH!!! I lift my legs up and she feels like she's flying!! She loves them but OMG it kills after about 10 times!

LOL.. these are great. The husband and I do a "jammy jam" with the kids before bedtime if they are well behaved for the day.. basically we let them pick songs from youtube and we all dance around the living room right before bed. Most of the time I use these as an excuse to do extra cardio exercises.. like jumping jacks, punches, buttkicks, high knees, arm circles, etc. Hubby knows what I'm doing but the kids think I'm just dancing. :)

When I have to grab paper from the other copy room, I purposely only take one ream at a time so i can get more walking time in. The other copy room is literally one city block away.
