I just don't get it! I have logged nearly 60 miles of walking fast or jogging, which I am doing more of each morning, but I have only dropped 4 pounds! I don't get it! I started on the 30th of March and have been going every morning that I can! I just don't get it! I push myself each morning and have actually stopped adding distance until I can complete my current route in under an hour--it's only 4.5 miles it can't be that hard. Sure, I have been a stay at home mom for the last 13 years but my youngest is almost 5. Time to get my butt in gear. I started this program because I want to be in the best shape of my life while my kids are doing their sports in school. Then maybe I will have the stamina to put up with the joys of teenage years! Not only that, why be fat and slobby when the kids are gone---That is when you get to do all those things you waited to do because you had kids and they were the priority.

So why have I gone so far and lost so little? Am I doing something wrong? What do I need to do to get the weight to start coming off faster?

Your body takes time to adjust to your new routine... you will start seeing the pounds drop soon. It can take a month or so before you see the difference in the scale. You will probably notice your clothes feeling looser first

Keep it up and you will get where you want to be! :flowerforyou:

what is your diet like? Your food diary isn't open, so no one can check it out and give you tips there. You can do all the exercise in the world, but if you aren't eating the right things, you are just spinning your wheels.

Hang in there. It is better for the weight to come off slow so it will stay off. You have 4 pounds for less than a month. Only 1 more to go and you will reach your first goal. Hang in there you are doing great.

Your ticker says your goal is to lose 5 by 4/27. Sounds like you are on track to me. Regardless, no two people are the same, so if you are doing things like eating your exercise calories it may be possible you are giving yourself too much credit for your exercise. Or you're not logging your food accurately. My advice is stick with it and eventually you will find a combination of diet and exercise that produces results for you.

Are you taking in enough fuel for your workouts? Often times members workout but don't fuel their bodies enough and that can hinder weight loss. Getting in plenty of water and cutting way back on processed food will also help to drop the lbs.

What are you eating? If you are eating more to replace those burned calories that might be the reason you're not seeing much movement on your scales. You are also probably replacing fat with muscle.. Muscle weighs more. Do your clothes feel looser? Don't worry about the pounds right now, just make sure you are eating right and exercising.. Good luck!!

I hear ya. I have been on hear for a month and I have only lost 5lbs. I went from eating AWFUL and probably 2500 calories a day and no real exercise to NOW eating under 1600 calories a day, all....ok mostly healthy food LOL and running on my eliptical trainer every morning (5kms in 20 mins) and lifting weights every night. I dont get??? I should be seeing more results. I can figure it out.

When I signed up for the site the site told me to eat 1950 calories a day. I thought it was eating too much but maybe its now too little. Who knows. I just keep working at it. All I know is I am healthier now and I feel better and I have more energy and as nice as it would be to see the weight fall off, I know it will soon.

I hope you stay positive and keep up the good work!!

I haven't been logging my foods lately. I was before but I don't want to spend that much time in front of the pc. I was always under my calories anyway. I stay away from processed foods and mayo as much as possible. On occassion I will have a hot dog or macaroni but mostly its all home made fresh stuff. We eat alot of deer meat when we have it but usually we have chicken. I am sick of chicken actually. My rut is breakfast. I usually start with a banana. Then who knows from there. I don't eat cereal cuz of the sugars. I usually have an egg (was 2 eggs) with some sausage or bacon or some turkey in an omelet. My food is okay. Just not sure about the weight. But now that I look at it I guess I am pretty much on track. I set small acheivable goals. Once those are easy then I will set larger goals!

Weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. If you're not weighing and logging everything you and drink then you are most likely underestimating the number of calories you're consuming.

    Agreed!

If you don't want to 'spend so much time in front of the PC' and you have a a smart phone, you can log from your phone with the My Fitness Pal app.
