You know the little words of wisdom that roll around in your head and keep you towards the goal:
Here are some of mine, what are yours?
~~~~~
I never cheat on mfp, because its me who gets cheated.
There isn't a desert worthy enough to make me lose track of my goal weight.
I can always fit in 15 minutes of exercise and doubling it is twice as good!
The dog needs a walk anytime she can, I do it for the dog!
The scale is only a measurement, it neither makes or breaks me, it does not determine my attitude.
Food never fills a hole that cruel words made, but a good walk with head phones does.
I never log it in unless it truly happened!
If I think I want something to eat that could hurt my caloric intake, I wait 15 minutes and see if I truly do want it.
Each day gets me that much closer.
The main one I've seemed to really let sink in is:
If you're not in pain today from what you did yesterday then you're not living life to its fullest.
I had that thought stuck in my head one day while I was in the shower post-workout and it's stuck with me and sort of changed my life in many ways since.0 -
We don't skip workouts.0
Whenever I want to toss in the towel and give up because it is "too hard", I just think it is too hard to stay this fat and big forever - so either choice is hard in it's own way - might as well make the hard choices that will eventually lead to happiness and being healthy!0
This.
I watched a will smith interview today, (had heard the quote before) and it was great.
"You don’t say, ‘I’m going to build the biggest, baddest, greatest wall that has ever been built.’
You say, ‘I’m going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid
and you do that every single day and soon you have a wall.’”0 -
Here are some of mine:
- Drinking calories is never worth it
- Underestimating calories eaten just burns me
- An hour of exercise is never as inconvenient as it sounds0 -
You only have one body. Be good to it and it will be good to you.
Also, life is a journey. Make it as adventurous and joyful as possible!0 -
The only person holding me back is me!
I'm going to get out of it what I put into it!
Feeling tired sore and sweaty after 3 miles feels much better than feeling bloated and guilty after 3 bowls of ice cream!
Every journey begins with a step!
Not for him, not for them but for me!!! Because I'm worth it.
I can I will, just watch me.0 -
the one that i repeat to myself all the time is: if its not gonna help you reach your goal, then DONT eat it!!0
-
Mine are:
Listen to your body
Work harder than anyone else
While everyone is slacking off you're working hard0 -
I am the best me I can be.0
-
DURING the workout (especially spinning class!)
This is hard, NOT impossible.
