I bought some organic cookies today. They have 130 cals per 2 cookies. That's about the same as real cookies of the same kind. My question is- Are organic calories better than "real" ones? Maybe the organic cals burn quicker or digest better? I have always wondered why everyone says organic is better. I'm not so sure especially at those prices!!

organic calories are the same as far as calories go - but they are better in that you're not putting more pollutants in to your body or the earth.

    Calories are calories.
Simply stated, organic produce and other ingredients are grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation. Animals that produce meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products do not take antibiotics or growth hormones.

Calories are calories..organic is better because there are no hormones and crap in it. My hormones are already out of whack so I try to stick to organic so I'm not adding to the hormones. Also I'm I love animals so when I buy organic I feel a little better. The livestock actually eat real grass/seed and have a pasture to roam instead of being stuck in a stall 24/7.

The nutrition in organic vs non is identical. The only difference is its environmental impact :)

Okay, I understand now. I always thought organic calories were better, but they are the same. All calories are created equal. So the only difference is organic food is pure and unpolluted. Thank you everyone! Here is an organic flower: :flowerforyou:
