Hi all, I am in need of some good, healthy recipes for dinner. I don't want to get so tired of salads that I fall off the wagon. Please share with me your favorite healthy dinner recipe!
Thanks!

You will lose weight without eating salad. The key is to choose whole foods over processed stuff. I don't like salad and rarely eat it. Usually they say salads can be loaded in calories. Just pay attention to your intake. Try Eating Well magazine. They post things online. Also, my first "healthy cooking" cookbook was a Weight Watchers cookbook. I never followed weight watchers but they do have very healthy recipes.

I am right there will you bored as can be with salad. I did have a pretty good dinner one night it was chicken breast cooked in pan. After it was cooked, put in bell peppers, scallions, black beans rinsed and drained and some chunky salsa.. a slice of avacado on the side... yes a salad. It sounds weird but it was pretty good...with a little cheese in the mixture and put a little bean mixture over the chicken and on the side. Salt and pepper to taste.

Meat only from one rotisserie chicken (if you can't not eat it, get someone else to take off the skin)--about 15 ounces of meat
1 can no salt added black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup frozen whole kernel corn
1/2 cup barbecue sauce (prepared or your own--look for lowest sugar/calories/sodium in your store)
    5 oz. fresh baby spinach

Put all but spinach in a large non-stick skillet until heated. Add spinach and continue heating and stirring until spinach wilts. Depending on the size of your chicken and what brand of BBQ sauce you buy, this will come in somewhere between 350-400 calories for 1/4 of the recipe. And 1/4 of the recipe is way too much for 1 tortilla, so I usually have one burrito with the extra filling on the side.

I like to put it in an Ole Extreme Wellness High Fiber Tortilla with a dollop of plain greek yogurt. YUMMY. And the leftovers are awesome, too. And it has a ton of fiber and protein and flavor....

    I love turkey!

I do baked turkey tenderloin, with brown rice, steamed brocolli or baked sweet potato (veggies always plain)

Ground turkey with spaghetti sauce (bertolli organic) over whole wheat pasta

Salmon marinated in teriyaki marinade with a little brown sugar - bake it wrapped in foil @ 350 - 10 min. for the foil and add 10 min. for each 1" thickness of your fish filet.

Ground turkey chili in the crock pot - ground turkey, mushrooms, canned tomatoes, chopped onion, chili beans, chili powder to taste (watch sodium!) top with plain greek yogurt and a little shredded cheddar. mmmm mmmmm

Omelettes - use 1 egg and 2 egg whites, friendship cottage cheese (low sodium), load with favorite veggies (spinach and mushroom for me) and top with salsa (Newman's Own is low sodium)

Baked chicken, green beans, steamed squash, whole wheat roll.

Vita tops deep chocolate muffin top w/ fresh strawberries if I want dessert!!!!

    forgot homemade chicken fajitas!

Chicken tenderloin strips, cook with some bell pepper and onion strips which you saute with a TINY bit of extra. virg. olive oil., fajita seasoning. Put it in a whole wheat wrap with a tiny bit of shredded cheese, salsa, black beans (or pintos) + corn (optional), can also add a dollop of greek yogurt if you like sour cream.

Yum, yum, yum!!! One of my husband's favorites!!!!

Those are great ideas, thank you! I'll have to try some of those. I do make my salads healthy and count every single thing in it. But I just don't want to have it all the time. I just want to have it when I want it.

    Thanks again!
