Special K Chocolate protein shake is yummy. It takes like chocolate milk. But kinda expensive when compared to SlimFast.

I've only had those 2 so I really can't recommend another. I personally don't like the powders...too gritty.

At 10 grams of protein and 29 grams of carbs, it is not really that much of a protein shake in my mind. It would probably be less expensive to find a protein powder you like the taste of a mix up your own shake with the protein powder and some other stuff. This is just my personal opinion, but if I am having a protein shake I want more than 10 grams of protein.

I 'm with you there. I can't tolerate chalky grit even if the overall taste isn't bad. I guess it's a consistency/texture thing.

The special K protien shakes are good, I used to drink them before donating plasma to maintain my protien. The french vanilla is amazing!

I agree. I don't really think of them as Protein boosts. But they are great to have on the go for breakfast.

I have looked into whey protein and they are just to expensive for me and too gritty.

My fav protein mix at the moment is PURE PROTEIN Frosty Chocolate. It doesn't taste gritty to me at all. If you like Smoothie King's Slim-N-Trim chocolate smoothie, I think you'll like this if you mix it with soy milk (or whatever milk you like) and ice in a blender!

Pure Protein makes other flavors as well. I think they have a cookies-n-cream and peanut butter. I want to try the peanut butter one!

Pure Protein also makes other things like protein bars and snacks. To me, their Chocolate Deluxe protein bar tastes like a brownie. lol It's chewy and not hard.

I've actually just bought some as recent as last week; the milk chocolate and french vanilla ones. They really do keep my hunger in check! It's just the sugar you gotta watch out for! The milk chocolate one's sooooo good. The french vanilla one is OK.. it kinda tastes like that Rice Krispies Treats cereal to me, if you've ever had that cereal. It's good, just not too much of it.
But I like these shakes. :) I'm just trying to moderate the processed stuff, so I don't drink them too often.
