Hello myfitnesspal friends,

This is my first post. I started using this website last Tuesday. My husband and I just recently stated working out (last Tuesday) We go on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So we've had 4 work outs. So far I've lost 4 pounds since we started. So far so good! Definately changed my eating habits! My portions are smaller, I feel so hungry sometimes though. How do some of you deal with hunger? Ive tried the drinking cold water, chewing gum, but that doesnt seem to help. This is definately a challege! Any tips (and recipes) would be very helpful!

Nice to meet you! I was hungry real bad the first few weeks, but now I have trouble eating enough! I don't really know what happened, I think it might have something to do with the quality of what I eat. Now I am making more things for myself, sandwiches and fresh, real ingredients - compared to what I used to eat: muffins, donuts, ice creams, all packaged junks.

Good luck this is an excellent site!

Try eating 6 small meals a day---so you will eat every 2-3 hours and make each a high quality carb/protein balanced "meal". By eating eveyr 2-3 hours you are keeping hunger at bay so that you will not gorge yourself.

Leave room in your day for snacks! smaller meals means snacks in between! Have some low calorie stuff for snacks....it always helps to have something to nibble on!!!!

i eat small meals/snacks every 3-4 hours, which keeps the metabolism going. I will admit, it's hard to do cause sometimes I just don't feel like eating. good luck on your journey and feel free to add me as a friend for some "cheerleading" and extra support.
