My hubby made this tonight and I was blown away. FANTASTIC! It's vegatarian which is not his style but we both really liked it. Maybe you'll like it too. ![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Black Bean Burgers
3 cups cooked brown rice
4 garlic cloves
1 cup red onion
1 and a half cups red pepper
1 can black beans
3 eggs
3 tablespoons chili powder
3 tablespoons cumin
3 tablespoons sweet chili
3 cups pepper Jack cheese, shredded (we used cheddar)
2 cups panko or any other bread crumbs (Panko will give you a crispier outside)
Cook the rice as indicated, and set aside. Put garlic, onions and peppers in a food processor until completely chopped up. Combine all other ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Add garlic mixture, add the rice and then form into patties. Grill 5-10 minutes on each side or until patties are cooked through

Sounds really good! The beans don't go in the food processor? Do you have to kind of mash them so they hold together or no?0

You don't have to mash the beans, they held together. I think the cheese kind of works as the "glue".
I made a 6" diameter 1" inch think burger and I calculated about 332 calories. We grilled them on a George Forman Grill.
It was sooooo yummy!0
