I think it depends on what your priorities are as a couple. My fiancee and I definitely ate more as we settled in together, but that's because watching our weight wasn't important to us as a couple. I wanted to focus on my career and I knew he would love me no matter what, so my waistline fell off the radar.0

Yes. My guy gained 20 (still within healthy limits) and I gained 20 the first year. The second year I got laid off work and gained another 40. So here I am, I got rid of that 60 and am working on getting rid of the extra I had before meeting my guy.0

Wasn't true for me. I actually lost a few pounds after getting married.
Of course, when people would tell me, "oh....you'll let yourself go now that you are married...." or "you won't exercise after you have your baby...." it motivated me.0
