Cellulite and jiggly arms!

So, I am pretty much cellulite Sally embodied. I have always had a comparatively small upper body compared to my monster thighs which are not of a pleasant consistancy!

My question is, is there anyone who can tell me if they have lost the cellulite? Is it a matter of diet? Toning? Or is it something that never goes away...?

Also, Does the nasty bat-wing condition fade along with it?

Ahhh batwings! I've got them..but yes, they can tone up with the right exercises. As for the cellulite, I'd like to know too cause even though dimples are cute on the face, they aren't so much on the thighs.

    Bump
  • It would seem no one knows!

I do hope it goes away... Because it is the prime reason I am dieting... Being a little bigger I can deal with! Cellulite I cannot!

toning is and evil word. it was aimed at women, since we all know women want to be skinny and firm not muscular. (sarcasm) that thats the reason for the word. if you notice men use the terms muscle definition and women use tone..its the same thing.
if you are jiggly, its because you have little muscle mass and a lot of fat. this is known as skinny fat.

muscles are the key, in both cases to stop the jiggle and lessen the cellulite appearance. Cellulite is just fat that presents itself as dimpling usually in the pelvic, thigh areas of women. its mostly hormonal and genetic. most women have it, its just the way it is. Dieting too much can aggravate this appearance too. there are no 'cures' or tricks you can do to get rid of it..its just apart of our lives as women. you can lessen it, but probably not fully get rid of it

If you want to lessn the arm jiggle you need to build some muscle. Unfortunately you cant do this while dieting, since it takes a calorie surplus to build muscle. And dont worry, you cant bulk up. Men dont just bulk up either. its actually very hard to build muscle without steroids and get big without them either. Men and women build muscle at the same rate, women just dont build as much. we stop at a certain point, but then again men stop too..genetically and phisologically both sexes have a limit, but its all individualized. you wont wake up one morning and say..oops i got to bulky. You have to be serious about building muscle. just lifting here and there wont help.

but anyways..building muscle is the way to lessn the arm jiggle and cellulite. also losing more fat will show that muscle defintion and stop the arm jiggle. as far as cellulite goes..less fat means less cellulite.

Since I started working out on the regular and doing the Couch to 5k running program (week 5 now) I have noticed a significant reduction in the amount of cellulite in my legs (and I am the epitamy of thunder thighs).... As you burn the fat and start to tone you should see results. I'm not sure that exercise is the cure all and be all as I am sure genetics plays a part .... but seriously hard work is the way to go! As far as the arms (yep they are big too), they are tightening up and getting better everyday!

Got both i so envy men because they don't have cellulite... why did us woman get the $#@! end of the stick for??... for me nothing can be done about getting the extra giggle off my arms unless its cut off... what drives me nuts is that under that skin is a perfect arm with muscle! its such a slap in the face.. and the cellulite well who knows.. maybe in the future we can just iron it out.. i'm using weights hoping muscle gain will make it less apparent.
  • So fat loss and muscle toning is the way to go I guess! Just gotta keep at it! I will post a topic when I reach my goal about my cellulite, just to give an update!

ohhh cellulite!! I actually did a success story about this...since a child I had it...it was horrible..but I totally lost a lot of it...I owe it all to the running I did that helped bring muscle out, and of course limiting the salt and fat...Its not completely gone as I would like but its definitely gone to the point I would actually wear shorts with a nice tan... I took pictures if you would like to see in my blog, no befores because that was just nasty, but I had a lot of pot holes and it was almost down to my knees..yuk

and the arms were my biggest problem too, I hated taking pictures because those hams were big and made me look huge, I was even made fun of by ex guys...:(....but I toned them up with 30 day shred dvd by jillian michaels...I love my new shoulders and arms..so sexy!!....
work hard and everything will look hard!!!

  • well for me i weighed 200 lbs in 2008 and now im 140ish to 150ish! im proud of what i did but still have alot of work. bat arms do fade ladies just work hard! life small weights and alot of sets of long repetitions. i started with 5 now im up to 10 or 15 lbs!
as for the legs im still in the small upper body and thunder thigh category but it has gotten better. the cellulite has faded a small bit on my legs but im motivated to keep the jump squats and lunges and stairmaster going strong at the gym and i heard the bike is good too
