Kim - Please put me on the list for the next comp! I need something, ANYTHING to help me get in to this dress for my birthday (June 27). It's an 8, I'm at like a 10-12, but it's so friggin cute! AND hubby said if I can wear it for my birthday he'll buy me some new shoes AND jewelry to go with it. For this man to offer to buy me shoes and jewelry (aside from holidays/birthdays) is UNREAL so I'm trying to take advantage of this opportunity! Anywho, your comp is super fun anyways - LIKE YOU!

Heather - I'll miss you, but have flipped the switch to now wanting to KICK YOUR @SS! Isn't it rather disturbing how I can go from love to hate at the drop of a dime?

runner - Here's the thread for the Slicksters:

I'd be all over the shoe purchase with jewelry as well....wooo hooo...

How much do you think you need to lose to be an 8? I haven't been an 8 in a long, long time...like, I can't even remember being an 8 since my daughter was born 17 years ago. I'm 12ish at 174; so, thinking an 8 would be 150ish

I hate, hate,:explode: hate:angry: the 170s...I have been stuck in them FOREVER:sad: I am hoping to be 170 at the end of the month

Your still in the comp which I think is really going to help with your weight loss, you've lost over 4 lbs so far. We should have a contest between us of who gets there first. Hmmmm, what would our prize be???

Smallest I got (in the past 8 years or so) was like 171, couldn't seem to break through the 170 either. WTF is up with them? I say we just incinerate them! All clothes are made different, so this 8 may be bigger than other 8s. IDK. It fits, just doesn't zip the whole way due to back fat and belly bulge. When I was at 171 it was REALLY close to fitting so I'm thinking maybe 160-165 and I should be good. It seems like a LOT to lose by the end of June but a girl can dream can't she!?!?! :blushing:

Katie,165 is 14 lbs by the end of June...Doable, I think...your doing that P90 so you may not lose a lot of weight; but, your body shape will change. Plus, your good about running outside which would be more fat burning. Can you alternate the P90 with hi-intensity cardio like zumba or spinning...Spinning is a good burn

You know, I have a dress that I wanted to wear last year; but, couldn't do it...tummy was just too big...should we take pics and post before and after...do you think that would be motivating...mine is sooooo cute, Ralph Lauren...adorable

YES KIM, let's do it! Mine looks ok from the front, it's the back that doesn't zip that's a mess! Anyone else have a goal outfit? How long do you think it will take you to get in to the RL?

Funny you would mention switching up to a more high intensity cardio (even though the P90 cardio is a butt whooper), I was already thinking that's what I should do. After 3 weeks I must be getting used to P90, gotta keep the body guessing! I have set a goal to make it to either spinning or zumba once this week. My best bet might be Thu. evening spinning....we'll see!

OK, I don't have to lose a lot...maybe 165, it would be perfect...last time, I tried it on was March of last year...I've never worn it:cry:

You'll see the pic, but, it's white with navy stripes going diagonal...strapless with a chain that holds the front up and goes around the neck...so, I have to have a flabless back, minimal tummy, tight booty...last time, I tried it on was 173 and didn't feel comfortable in it.:noway:

June would be good goal for me...Ron and I are going away for a romantic night the first week of June...I know the dress won't be on long tho:blushing:

So shall we post before pics now to shame ourselves into losing the back fat and belly bulges? I'll have to enlist in hubby's help for a shot of the back (ie the "problem area"). Will post when it's been done....

I will post pics tonight as well...it's a size 12 which is my usual size and I didn't want to buy the bigger size 'cause it was just too big and I thought I would be able to drop the weight:noway:

Alright, let's shame :blushing: ourselves mercilessly...others please feel welcome to join us with your too small of clothing

I dug up the dress and tried it on, apparently, I need to work on the hips too:grumble:

Wow. I just got home from Boston, and I definitely thought that I was going to be eliminated.

Kim, I agree that you should stay in since two people failed to weigh-in last week. That way the competition won't be over sooner than we thought.

And hello Slicksters! What a surprise to not only still be in the competition but also on a different team! I have a little bit of making up to do from this little mini vaca, but I am ready to work my butt off!

    Watch out Slimsters!

This week's weigh-in is going to be TOUGH being right after Easter. Everyone remember one thing - WATER WATER WATER! :drinker:

As much as I want to whoop the Slimsters again this is about ALL OF US losing weight so I thought I'd throw this out there for all of us to keep in mind! :flowerforyou:

Water, water, water and remember - drink lots before you eat as well so you fill up on that more than the salty ham and whatever else you might throw into your mouths. I'm planning on enjoying my day - a little chocolate, a little of this and that. Just not a lot of everything like every other year. We can do this!!! :smokin:

OK, I'll be leaving for Chicago on Thursday and coming back on Sunday. I plan to start the next challenge on May 4th otherwise, I am going to gain back everything I worked so hard to lose. I swear I have no willpower unless I am totally pressured.

I need to know some things:

    1) Do you want a limit of 5 players one each team or bump it up to 7 to 10. I am thinking of bumping it up so it does last a bit longer.

    2) Do you want to have other prizes for challenge winners - or - was it good enough the way it is. We had weight advantages, disadvantages, trading, immunity...I have one more that you don't know of...but, do you have any other ideas?

    3) People that want to be in the next challenge that I remember are: Sara, Katie, Me (obviously), Connie and Maria. Let me know if you are interested in the next one as well.

So, on May 2nd, the first challenge should be down to 3 people....wow...it did go fast!!! I can't wait to see who it is

    Have fun in Chicago!!!
    1) A pro of bumping it up to bigger teams - it'll last longer. Con - If it lasts longer, players may drop out or simply go MIA. Which may actually turn into a pro. Ha! I personally think it should be bigger teams.

    2) I like all the ideas you've had so far.
-What about being able to trade teams yourself if you win a week?
-What about the winner of one week being able to decide the day they want to weigh in for their winning week? Some players maybe want to weigh in BEFORE the weekend comes, for example.
-What about the winner of one week being able to take someone else's percentage lost of that same week, and use that percent for their OWN loss the following week? For example, if I win one week, and Maria has the next highest weight loss percentage on that same week, I have the option of using the percentage Maria had for my NEXT week's result. I wouldn't have to take it, but I'd have to decide if I think her percentage is MORE than what my own percentage may be for the following week, or if I think I'll be able to do even better on my own. Kindy wordy, but it could really put a twist in there for one of the weeks.
IDK, those are just some quick brainstorming ideas.

    3) Thank you for counting me in! These challenges sure are helping me to keep my motivation!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I know I'm enjoying mine - I had a big ol' ice cream waffle cone today, and it's not even the BIG food day yet.... We'll see what tomorrow brings...

    Week #5

Hello, my water guzzling sponges. Did you eat like a rabbit for the Easter holiday?

We will be down to the final 5. That's right, it’s time to say adios to another player. Who will it be? The phrase for week #5 is “SAFETY” dated 4/25/11. THAT’S RIGHT!!! The winner of today’s challenge is totally safe for the next week. How will you use this strategy to win the game, collect the prize and flaunt your sexy new silhouette?

I’ll just have everyone post here in lieu of starting another thread. I am not scheduled to work tomorrow and I will post the results after everyone has posted their weight.

    Good luck!!

    Yay!! :drinker:

I apologize that you have to see my bare feet, they definitely aren't the prettiest things.....now, if only I could lose weight in that big toe of mine

I REALLY need to win this week - I'm living in a hotel for the week so there's going to be lots of eating out.....no gym here but it's supposed to be in the 80's all week so I'll get lots of walks in. Good luck everyone!!!

Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!

Well, I was a little surprised this morning to see a loss. I assume it's because I only ate one meal yesterday, even if it was a big one. I will have to work really hard this week to keep it off because tomorrow I will be up again from just eating normal today (this is how my body works!!). Yippie!!!

Safety? Yeah right, I think TOM stopping by secured my elimination this week.....I'm up 2.5 pounds! :explode: I was still at 179.5 on Saturday and didn't even eat all that much yesterday. *kitten*, for all this I should have scarfed up all the good food I could. :grumble:

Thank you, Maria. That really does mean a lot to me. And congrats on the loss you had as well! Stay strong this week - you can do it. :flowerforyou:

Katie, from a non-competitive standpoint, that really does suck. Yeah, wouldn't it have been nice knowing you could've really pigged out yesterday? Grrr... I've struggled with my weight my entire life, and so I feel your frustration when you go up in weight. Don't give up, just work your *kitten* off this week, no matter if you're eliminated or not. Do it for YOU!!! Good luck.

AND GREAT JOB, FELLOW SLIMSTERS!!! WE ALL LOST - WHOOHOO!! :glasses:
