I drink Herbalife shakes, and they are AWESOME! Helped me break out of my plateau and are all-natural. Lots of protein too! I drink 2 a day, along with 3 other meals/snacks to keep my metabolism revved up.
Check out and read my profile if you want any more details on it - cuz its really helped aid me in my weight loss plus the flavors are delicious! They don't taste the typical diet shakes0 -
You need to check the level of protein they contain. The higher the better and my nutritionist said to go with Whey Protein for dieting.
I use the Premier Protein, 160 cals, 30gr protein. I know lots like the Pure Protein, shakes and powder and the Jay Robb powder.0 -
I love Gold Standard Egg White Protein...my stomach can't handle whey. The protein is 32g I believe and the sugar and carbs are really low as well.
Good luck finding one you like and doesnt break the bank!!0 -

As far as drinks...I make my own frappe's and fruit smoothies to use as a breakfast or lunch meal. The frappe contains Almond milk and the smoothies contain fruits and yogurt so I am getting good foods but just in another form.0 -

ocsurfmama - "bump" is a post to bump the question back to the top of the boards so people see it.
To the OP (Original Poster) I just started EAS Whey protein 1 or 2 times a day in unsweetened almond milk.0 -
I drink Shakeology (Beachbody product) most days for breakfast. I find it helps with cravings and keeps me full. I love it!

A protein shake is not a meal replacement; it's a protein shake.
Meal replacements contain both protein and carbs.
You can make your own meal replacement by mixing protein with something carby like oats or fruit or milk. Or you can buy ready to drink meal replacement shakes or mixes.
A couple of brands I have tried and liked in the meal replacement category are Optimum Nutrition "Oats & Whey" (24g protein; 23g carb), and EAS Myoplex (42g protein, 23g carb). I really love the Myoplex because of the flavor and the nice thick texture, but trying to wean off it in favor of more natural products (i.e. no artificial sweetener).0 -

I use 'bump' to keep the thread in my 'my topics' so I can keep up on the responses - at least on MFP. I use Bump as you've described above on other message boards.0 -
I use Herbalife Formula 1 meal replacement shake. I add optimum nutrition gold standard 100% whey for extra protein and add in fruit and almond milk. It tastes great.0

Seconding the Myoplex recommendation! I used the myoplex when I was pregnant as a meal replacement, for many reasons, but mostly because it would stay down in the mornings. It was both pretty good tasting, with low aftertaste, and it was pretty reasonably priced. I liked the chocolate fudge flavored one.
Good health to you0
